Microgaming is 100% owned and controlled by MM, casinos that use Microgaming software are either owned sepretely by MM, his family and close friends. Smaller groups of casinos are pure software clients of MGS.

Mrracetrack is correct, that is what I was refering to.

I am ery happy to report that my accounts are now unlocked.

My apologies to Gaming Club for questioning their good will. It has to be said that after the multiple initial mistakes in this situation, it would be hard to imagine a better resolution than what Gaming Club has produced.

Hi Noob

I am afraid I missed something here. What email response are you waiting for? Your previous message mentions that you had not received an email response, but that you called and received a “temporary one”, and that all appears in order. Does this mean a temporary password, or a temporary solution?

Sorry for asking these questions, but it appeared that the problem had been solved, and I would like to know what the issues are so that I can pursue them on your behalf.

In the interim, please resend your mail to support as it may have been flagged as resolved after your telephonic conversation.

Best regards,

The Gaming Club

Noob you are not the only one, I also was suddenly locked at other MG casinos.
Now that gaming club unlocked my account and gave me the bonus, almost the only MG casino that I am not locked at is Gaming Club.

I suggest other that were unlocked at gaming club check to see if they are locked at other MG casinos

Received the unlock email but was still locked. Sent an email over 24 hours ago but no reply so I called and they gave me a temporary one.

The full bonus amount including the extra 10% is there, kudos to Gaming Club for doing the right thing.

Unfortunately as a direct result of this promotion I am currently locked out at many Microgaming casinos. I anxiously await Gaming Club's actions in this regard since they clearly stated in their posts above that it was their mistake and the players could not be blamed for simply playing a promotion they offered.

Thanks to Fairbet, Got2bet and everyone who participated in this thread and to Gaming Club for admitting their wrongs and making things right.

I've been ery impressed by Gaming Club's posts in this thread. So far their explanation/apology appears to be honest, I'll see how they address my locked accounts situation and report back here once it has been resolved.

We haven’t heard any more from you on the board, so we hope that you have been able to access your account – please confirm.
PS Please make sure that you are using the same account as was listed in the apology email that you received informing you of the bonus having now been credited. The casino has always had a policy of one account per player, so any other accounts you might have opened in the past will still be locked.

[/B]

Nope , still not back in. I sent an email off to you guys around 12-2am est last night (actually early Sat morning I suppose) asking for it to be unlocked giving my account name. I'll give it a little time then call if not unlocked later this afternoon.

WTG TGC!

It takes courage and integrity to face your mistakes and your accusers and redress your mistakes as you have done here. And management commitment to pioneer a hopefully new era of ethical negative databasing which will put you on the cutting edge of client relationship management in the industry - I'm sure everyone looks forward to the developments there as you progress.

For my money, Slotski's post here is right on:

Having allowed some time for comments to follow our original posting, here follows some responses to the comments made thus far.

A. Bet2Gamble

Thanks Got2Bet and Fairbet for correcting Bet2Gamble’s misunderstanding of the situation. We’ll nonetheless repeat a few of the issues in order to shed a bit more light. The following statements were included in Bet2Gamble’s post:

1. “this "deal" by TGC does not return the funds that it stole.

All player purchases for the 29 excluded accounts were refunded in full last week, even to players who lost prior to their accounts being locked, and any winnings were also paid out at that point. All bonuses have now been credited. No further funds remain outstanding.

2. “It only gives player's another shot, but in reality, it gives TGC another shot to avoid the losses they obviously incurred the first time around. After all, does anyone think this situation would have come up if TGC had made money on this promotion?”...

Slotski, I agree on both counts but particularly your point on a transparent blacklist. We get solicted all the time by casinos. It would be nice not to get our reputation ruined because we accepted the offered promotion.

Good luck at the tables.

B2G,

I believe all winners were paid before. This is a ery fair deal, not only will the bonuses be paid but they added 10% which is a great way of making up for holding the money as long as they did.
It was really great to see that the casino looked at it from both points of iew and made the correct decision. The seem to really understand the situation and acted bravely to restore their reputation.

All that being said, my account is still locked. I did get the emails informing me of the bonus being added, just can't get into the account.

Perhaps I'm wrong.

I have a question for the players affected. Did TGC credit your account with just your bonus or your bonus+winnings? What I mean is, if you were up a good deal of money when they locked your account, did they return that money also, or just your original bonus?

All right guys, I think we are all pretty impressed by this one.

So far, it looks like TGC has:

1. Admitted they were wrong

2. Honored the original bonus

3. Awarded an additional bonus

4. Have agreed to pursue a "transparent" system that not only protects the casino from bonus abusers, but also protects the player from being mislabeled as such.

Minus a time machine (to erase the whole incident) there really isn't anything more I could think of…

Hopefully one day ALL casinos will ACTUALLY LISTEN to constructive criticism. Until then, I suppose the business will go to those who do.

To Ted and everyone else who helped out here (including TGC)…good work!

B2G -

Let me know if I have missed something here.

Winnings were paid. Losers were refunded.

Now that bonuses have been awarded, they are simply restating the bonus playthrough requirements.

Plus:
Quote:

Any wagers made since the time of the original $1,000 purchase will count towards this requirement, providing that the wagers were placed on eligible games.

What funds were stolen?

Also:
Quote:

I have confirmed that all the accounts affected have been unlocked. Each player affected by this issue should have received an email in this regard.

So no accounts are now locked.

With all due respect, I think you have missed something - but if it is me that has missed something, by all means blast me LOL.

Mr Gaming club.
This is one of the biggest threads in the history of wol.
Brad showed up about page 5.
You showed up about page 8.

How about finding someone who can manage the casino properly?
Then you can go back to your life of luxury, and ignore the problems.

Drop the muppets, and get a pro to handle the business.

Just a thought.

Glad you got it sorted eventually btw.

Theres a girlie called emily at Inetbet who can tell you about the business, and the customers, and how to avoid being 'saddam husseins casino of the month'

And now that you have been flagged as a potential problem casino, it will not help you to gain any new custom.
Only the diehards will risk hard cash, the newbies will be scared away in the short term at least.

whoohoo!

this restores my faith in MG casinos, and TGC specifically.

for those who are going to complain that it took so long.. well, i think in terms of online casinos, the month or so wasn't that bad. There are places that have done a heck of a lot worse, and it's been 6+ months people having been griping about them.

Thanks to everyone who helped bring this to a happy ending, even though I wasn't involved I'm glad it's been fixed up correctly finally!!

GC,

First I want to acknowledge how refreshing it is to have casino management "take the heat" for their mistake, and apologize to the players openly and personally. That is a sign of maturity.

Second, I want to ask that you use your influence within the Microgaming Community as a whole to promote the same level of transparency and honesty with other Microgaming casinos.

Management training, as you know, is a necessity if the players, some yours, some not, are to be treated in a like manner regardless of which MGS casino they may play.

And finally, as a novice gambler, (and portal owner), I would like to have a point of contact where I can offer concrete suggestions for improvement in operations. Not in an acrimonious atmosphere, which develops when there is no means of communication, but in an atmosphere that will promote increased ease of use and enjoyment for players and portal owners alike.

I look forward to hearing from your representative.

Well,

I can imagine some heads rolling in the GC department right now thanks to what they describe to have been a "poorly designed" promotion. It looks as if they finally acknowledged the painfully obvious. While their reputation will forever carry a dent of disgrace due to this incident, they've done what they had to do to salvage what's left of the trainwreck. A transparent and accessible database of promotion abusers is certainly a good idea that should be implemented without delay.

I didn't take part in this promotion and have no ested interest, but for the sake of the struggling industry and its players, I'd like to thank those who did their part to keep this matter alive and help resolve it in a satisfactory manner. Let's hear from those of you who were awarded the bonuses due pursuant to this agreement.
