And... nothing has changed regarding this thread. Even though Nicole stated that accounts were not locked because of winnings, I know this to be false.
My only infraction was that I didn't lose enough to Sunny. They never gave me an answer as to why my account was locked. I complied to all document requests. There were no discrepancies and my accounts are still locked.
Of course, I wouldn't play there now even if they unlocked my accounts.

Don't hold your breath fb_curious I've moved on and assume most others have too. The only thing Sunny HAD going for them was their superior customer service, and that is obviously non-existant in the present. Save your money for a casino that doesn't fabricate stories, and then just stop responding completely.

has anyone seen the NEWEST game at the sunny group casinos, on playtech???
It is a switch blackJack game in which you can play two hands at once and trade the top card with the top card from the other hand.
if a dealer get 22 it is a push
BJ is even money
dealer hits on soft 17
there is a new side bet regarding the first four cards dealt
if you do not switch and you win you win more than in regular BJ.
anyone play this?
are the odds better or worse.
I played for FUN and lost quite a bit.
It was fun but seems like a gimmick
maybe sunny group needs to make even more money.
they also added even more slots.

I've been on holiday for a couple of weeks but I probably should mention I received all the funds from Sunny Group (except comp points bonuses). I don't know if they would have done if I hadn't complained to OPA because they weren't replying to emails.
The Sunny Group did give away hundreds of thousands a year ago in promotions and even gave away a $25,000 prize for the blackjack tournament winner at the beginning of this year. I was a bit sceptical about the final because the winner (Eileen) was down a lot at the beginning and must have pulled off quite a few $1000 bets to win. She started appearing in the quarter finals so she must have won a wildcard round.
I never understood why they were continually doing promotions every weekend after they changed from Microgaming but I was a bit suspicious. They gave away hundreds every weekend and it seemed suicidal because the average player would be put off with the terms and conditions but a lot of the bonus hunters would not. I'm wondering if they took the hatchet to all the support staff. I wrote three emails around six weeks ago, and although all were read (I got receipts) none have been replied to and my account remains locked.
It's up to them who they want to play at their casinos. I played plenty of times without the benefit of a bonus (when they were MG they rarely offered any bonus anyway - the weekly promos seem to have come about following the software switch) so don't consider myself a promotion abuser.
However, if I'm no longer welcome it would be nice if they had the manners to tell me that instead of just locking the account (after requesting and receiving a signed list of credit card purchases) and then ignoring all subsequent emails.

I have been dealing with Sunny for almost 2 years now, and I have never had a problem with cashing out. That being said, I havent actually won enough to cashout on the Playtech software which IMO really bites. I might just be unlucky, but I know I had a much better run for my money at MG at least.
I was told by someone at Sunny that they took the hatchet to their Support Staff numbers, which is probably why the 15 minute email turnaround doesnt exist any more. It may also be an indicator of their financial status, but I couldnt be sure of that without knowing the facts so its just a presumption. I know that the first thing any company looks at to improve its bottom line is to shed staff, so maybe we will just see what happens in the coming months.
Cheers

tedm...I haven't played at any Sunny Casinos yet.
Why would you think they would fall from grace so fast? Is there some thing they are doing now that they weren't doing before?
Have they changed anything other than software?

I play mapau all the time. the 20% promotion is still alive, but you have to be invited to take part. apparently they had a problem with promo abusers. I always get paid fast from them as well. so I have nothing but goog things to say about them as well

At some point patience is no longer a irtue.
In belated response to three separate but loosely related incidents all suggesting that either Sunny is completely incompetent or has lost all ethics (or both) I will likely be filing a complaint with this Antiguan Offshore Gaming Department within the next couple days.
It's a real shame that these guys fell so hard so quickly.

Yeah, apparently they've lost the ability to simply reply to e-mail
I can't believe Sunny has managed to go from my favorite casino group to a waste of my time in the span of a month

I have never seen them on the OPa weekly round up, never seen any sunnycasinos or reef club on the weekly round up.
i have never had a problem with sunny casinos, let me say that, they called me last month and gave me free money, and they cash me out in two days.

This is disconcerting. This is more than a few isolated complaints and Sunny appear pretty prominently at the OPA website.
How many players have filed complaints with the OPA that have posted here?
The below I found interesting: http://www.crucialcasinos.com/news/cid/12
It seems rather a coincidence that Black Widow and Grand Banks appear to be heading the same way after the Playtech changeover: http://www.winneronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005368.html
I think the OPA should at least temporarily remove the links while these issues are outstanding.

I received a portion of the owed money today after repeated calls. They did deduct bonus money out of the cash-ins. Locking out winners and making delayed installment payments... Maybe PlayTech should look into negotiating a contract with PWC.

MGS say that SG is going bankrupt (in my own words) fast, and now payment of any kind is an issue there, when it never was before.
Sure, some issues have been rectified, but have u noticed that it happens more or less after u pitch a bitch about them. They are concerned about their image, not their players, it's obvious!
My suggestion - complain 24/7, be specific.
I am pretty sure u'll get your money faster!
Just a thought - please don't rip me apart Sunny lovers, it's simply food for thought!
Adios

I think it might be interesting to do a quick straw poll of those who are locked out. The question is - are you a net winner at Sunny casinos since joining?
I'm a yes.
I'm just wondering if the audit mentioned above is a way of weeding out the unprofitable players and only letting in the losers.
I'm definitly a yes as well. Account is still locked, going on over a month now with no response other than the aforementioned "technical/server problems" BS.

Did those who've had their casino balances given back have to go through the OPA?
I've been waiting for an email from them to confirm the amount they'll pay me. They said they'd email me yesterday but haven't. They seem to have forgotten about a $200 bonus they owe me. OPA are not much help really on this.
[This message has been edited by Sirius (edited 08-21-2002).]
They have actually just emailed me confirming I'm due the bonus! I need to send off more forms now to get paid.

I was told on the phone it was an 'audit' and management would decide if accounts are unlocked. Didn't they also say it was to do with automated billing system or server problems?
Although I got the reversed cashin back quite easily after I complained to the OPA a few weeks ago, they are now asking for more forms to get back money from the other account!!

I haven't played at Sunny's casinos since the split with MG,but prior to that they were top notch in customer service and ery quick payouts. It's seems to me that there are alot of complaints lately regarding their customer service in many forums,so this group better get their act together fast,as their reputation is on the line, and right now it's a ery thin line.

I still have money in one account. I deposited $600 and wagered over $6000 for the VIP bonus many weeks ago and was to get a $200 bonus (the terms stated the bonus would be paid within 72 hours).
I usually get an email when they give the bonus but instead I was sent an email saying my account was locked until I sent a firepay authorisation form (I sent them about three weeks ago now)! I think all my accounts were locked at the time too.
How am I supposed to wager the bonus the required amount and withdraw (assuming they give me the bonus) if I can't access the account?
I am going to try the OPA again and ask for the deposit back unless they reopen my account immediately. I would be $25 down with the bonus but I wouldn't have even bothered with the promotion if I suspected they wouldn't honour their terms and that they'd lock my accounts.
Nicole, why are you giving us different email addresses to write to? It seems like it's a waste of time. Are you going to give us ye... | | Read Entire Entry |

I have sent information requests to supervis@sunnygrp.com and management@sunnygrp.com with no success. I still don't have an answer as to why my account is locked. I have been a Sunny Group player for over 1 1/2 years. You would think that if I committed some fraudulent activity it would have come to light long before now. I have never done a chargeback nor anything else that could remotely be considered suspicious.
The only infraction I could have ever have committed is to win in a few tournaments and to hit Megajacks a couple of times. I did participate in the bonuses and sometimes I won some money and sometimes I lost money. I played a lot more than the minimum requirements to qualify for the bonus and I played frequently without a bonus at all.
All I really want is an HONEST answer as to why my accounts have been locked. I could even accept an answer that Sunny thinks I play too well and they don't want my business. The unacceptable situation is no reasonable answer at all.

Hmmmm... Its now been 3 (?) weeks and my account still remains "temporarily locked" due to "server problems."
After emailing support VERY regularly, I manage to get a glib response stating that the issue will be resolved "soon."
Well Nicole, us players have been more than patient so far. When is this issue going to be resolved (if ever)??
I think the time has come for Sunny to step up and start giving us some concrete answers ASAP!

I emailed Sirius. My account was also locked with the same apparently red herring story of a technical problem with their automated billing system.
When my account wasn't unlocked on the promised date I requested cash out of outstanding balances and they have cleared today.
So in summary there seems to be no problem in getting cash balances refunded but several accounts have been locked and the reason given appears quite suspicious. Logically it seems that we are not wanted as players but have not yet been explicitly banned.
