You know what, I wonder how many players got locked out from Playtech overall. I got locked out from all Playtech. But I am glad. People use to say you are not a winner until you leave the table. Hey Playtech turnt me into an immediate winner. Why not?

Yes, at least some sites. I have had my account locked by at least one casino upon registering and before I was able to make a deposit.
I guess you have a similar experience.

I was also locked out of Sunny Group in July of 2002. I did nothing wrong except win. I made frequent deposits both with and without bonuses.
I emailed numerous times for an explanation but the pat answer "We'll investigate and get back to you." Of course they never did and they never unlocked my account.
You would think that they would at least have the balls to say "You didn't lose, so we don't want your business."

Err, correct.
You see, it's a little-known fact that in Nevada there are quite a few bricks and mortar casinos, whose business would possbly suffer if online play was legalized.
But don't spread it around.

Funnily enough, I done an email test last week and this is the reply I got from Sunny when asking if it was legal to play from the United Kingdom (probably the largest 'state' with a ery clear 'ok' for online gambling)

Hi
Goldgate Casino only accepts legal wagers. It offers its services throughout
the world, and the laws governing gambling ary widely from nation to nation
as well as within nations, and are always subject to change.
Sorry to say but we have no practical way to determine what is legal in any
particular location at any particular time. http://www.goldgatecasino.com/terms.asp?
We suggest you check with your state regulations for more information.
If you need any other information please feel free to contact us.
You can also talk to us ia our live chat on our Casino

waiting to
assist you.

ZRapture,
I had heard this was one of the better groups and wanted to give them a try.
I will put that on hold pending your outcome. I don't want to play someplace rogue.
Please keep us posted.

This is BS, I also live in PA and I've never had a problem with Sunny, and I've been playing them for well over 4 years. Futhermore, PA has no laws in this regard.
Something is fishy here, and Sunny needs to explain.
BTW, Sunny is ery bad when it comes to Emails and problems. They simply refuse to respond.

That's really hard to believe. I live in PA too (southwest) and have never heard of such a thing. I'm sure you know PA is trying to introduce slot games with the horse racing. No table games as far as I can tell. The only thing I can think of is there might be some anti-internet clause in the proposed legislation because they would be afraid of the competition. But I haven't read any such thing.
Keep us posted on your sit. Maybe you just won too much as Woody says - banning winners seems to be the latest trend.

It's interesting they still have the same VIP bonus from a year ago! The same thing happened to me when I played (see other thread). Instead of getting the $200 bonus, they locked the account. The wagering requirementts were 10x at the time, by the way.

Did they keep the accounts locked? To be honest I have never checked but they were locked for at least a week after they paid me. There was a $50 bonus every month for VIP's. They also used to send presents and stuff but I suppose they must have kept my accounts locked because I haven't received any more presents!
I had to go through the OPA to get them to respond when they were taking ages to pay and locking accounts (this was over a year ago).
The strange thing was that many months later I received an email with the subject: 'Wev'e (sic) missed you.......TCFR00xxxxxx' from ip@sunnygroup.com saying:

zrapture,
I think you must have won too much during your time with them. A whole bunch of us were locked out last spring, again on a red herring excuse. As far as I know everyone got paid their outstanding balances.
Since that time I have not contributed to their sportsbook.

I was thinking about trying them. I guess I will stay away this time.
After DirectNetPay issue. I HATE no respond from CS. (If they don't respond, what kind of CS this is?)
Thank you for the warning.

That is insane! They have always been quick to respond to emails. What a lame excuse! I hope they respond in this thread and make things right with your account to clear things up...

Ok, here is my story.
Been playing at their casinos for years. Been a VIP there for well over a year. On July 3rd I deposited $600 and played it down to $0, this deposit qualified for a $250 VIP bonus (200-weekly and 50 monthly.) I've played this promotion many times with them. A couple of days later I go to log in and play with the bonus money only to find that my account was locked for security reasons.
I call to try to get the scoop and they are totally useless and promise to email or call back with the reason. THEY NEVER RESPOND. So about a week later I call again, they still don't know and of course THEY NEVER RESPOND. That take us to today about a month later I call and after about 10 minutes of holding one "disconnection" and they tell me it is because they have determined gambling online is illegal in my state.
I was stunned to here this. I live in Pennsylvania and have never heard anything like that. I understand it is illegal in many states including possibly my neib... | | Read Entire Entry |
