It looks like my check cleared OK. I don't know why they paid me and not Boxplayer. I guess mine was cheaper. Because of the number of times they failed to pay me, I think they are crooks. Also, their BJ software does screw you by over 2% by not paying 3-to-2 for blackjacks. The owners call themselves Global Dip, so any casino that uses this trade name should be avoided. The following two casinos are also Global Dip: http://www.slotsandthecity.com http://www.paddysgold.com
You should play at these casinos if you like being cheated and ripped off.

Regarding the IGC, I sure hope nobody thinks I was trying to endorse VG by mentioning the certification. =) BTW they never responded to my complaint. Their website says that all licensed casinos are in good standing and have no pending disputes. This is an obvious lie.

I received a check yesterday for the full amount owed, $52. I will cash it today to make sure it doesn't bounce.

I noticed that they are certified by the Internet Gaming Comission, and filed a dispute with them the other day. The URL for filing a dispute is http://www.internetcommission.com/dispute.asp

I have not even heard the name of these guys for a couple of years. At that time, they were ery reputable in all of the sports circles. A lot can change in that time though, and I have no idea what their current position is.

That message board thread you posted is pretty typical Russ Hawkins stuff. That guy thinks everyone online except himself is a shill. But then, why wouldn't he when cappers like that take some of the traffic he could benefit from. The major is a joke.

Has anyone ever heard of www.olympicsportsbook.com which is one of the recommended sportsbooks on the OPA site? Among sportsbettors www.thegreek.com is called Olympic (and this is probably the most reputable sportsbook around), so www.olympicsportsbook.com probably had a reason for choosing their domain name.

I would say that if you have a real problem with this site, filing a complaint against them with the people at enetian.com is all it will take. Now that they are gearing up for Venetian Interactive to go online, they will most likely become more aggressive in protecting their online brand. Sharing the same name alone would probably be enough for them to take control of the domain. Hearing a gambler complain that they were ripped off by someone using their name would just be icing on the cake.

I can't believe they're ruining their "reputation" for a measly $573.

9 months have passed, 3 mediators have been involved - and nothing happens - other than no reply or more lies.

Julie at Gambling Grumbles posted a grumble late January. The casino never replied to her emails. She has the following comments on Boxplayers abusive betting strategy:

Going on three years and more cases than I can count this was a first for this department so it seemed to merit a bit of extra research. I phoned senior pitbosses at two well known and well respected casinos in Las Vegas and both found the idea of calling this method of betting "abusive" to be "utterly absurd", "comical" and "foolishness" to name but a few. Suffice it to say our online experts had similar comments and felt this management team needed a trip to Vegas to play and learn a bit.

Remember the betting strategy was the initial reason for stealing his money. It wasn't...

Their software lets you select payment method, and I chose Neteller, not check. In fact, all of my cash-out attempts were Neteller. During one of them the support person said she would do the Neteller transfer on my behalf. When that one was reversed and I complained, they shrugged it off as an "administrative error".

This is the first I've heard of a check. Most casinos notify you that a check is being sent. I doubt that I selected "NA" as my country, because I know that many casinos send part of your withrawal by snail mail, and am ery careful to double-check that my address is correct. I'll let you all know if I receive this check.

On Friday enquiries were made of our payment processing partners regarding Bryan's cash out which was authorised on 31 December. We received this reply back today:
Hello Luisa,

We issued a cheque to this player, which was sent out on January 29,2003, cheque #10714.

It may take a few weeks to get to Namibia.

Please ask him to wait for a few more weeks and if he still has not received it then we can do a stop payment and reissue it again.

Thank you.
Nicola Mendonca
Processing&Credits Manager.

I got back and pointed out that Brian is a US resident. They then got back with:

This error occur when player was entering his address information in our system we have his country listed as NA.... Namibia.
I have done a stop payment on this cheque and it was reissued and sent to our bank today, player will be receiving this cheque within 5 business days.

Thank you.
Nicola

I trust it is now clear this was a genuine mistak...

These clowns awarded me their bonus but when I tried to cashin they informed me that they were keeping the bonus and any winnings derived from it because I played at their sister site once but failed to return. I wonder what would have happened if I lost the bonus and deposit. Would I get my money back. Sounds like a no lose situation for the casino, accept deposits, award bonus, don't pay winnings or bonus.

LOL - they are now OPA approved!!
http://www.onlineplayersassociation.co.uk/vote5.html

I guess it now should be piece of cake to have any dispute with Venetian Gold sorted out.

Btw. I've studied the T&C's on the site. Danish players are welcome to play - they're just excluded from the 100% signup bonus - but are eligible for the other offers. Management claim this change was effective from July 15. As far as I know Boxplayer deposited long before that - and he WAS given the bonus!!!! As the poor losers Venetian Gold are they not only enforced the bonus rules retroactively on Boxplayer - they also stole his winnings, locked his account and did the good old "Here's your deposit - we keep the winnings" trick.

VenetianGold has an impeccable player payment record and this slur on our reputation is igorously denied.

Now we have the attention of the Venetian Gold pitboss I'd like his comment on this old complaint. It was posted on arious boards and the old OPA gave it a try too. It all happened last summer.

Some weeks ago I signed up at enetian Gold Casino (www.venetiangold.com). I Deposited $101 and wagered the amount 5 times in order to qualify for their $100 sign up bonus. I got the bonus quite fast and started wagering to meet the $6000 wagering requirement before any cash out could be made.
I played BlackJack with following strategy:

$2 bets as long as the previous hand was won.
If I lost two hands in a row with $2 bets the third bet would be $5.
If I lost three hands in a row ($2,$2,$5) the fourth bet would be $10.
If I lost four hands in a row ($2,$2,$5,$10) the fifth bet would be $20.
If I lost five hands in a row ($2,$2,$5,$10,$20) the sixth bet would be $5...

I bet $2 a hand. When I got my first blackjack, I had to click "stand". After winning the hand, my balance was still an even number. This happend a second time. The dealer never reached a 3-card 21 against my blackjack, but I suspect that it would have been a tie. Why else was the dealer taking a 3rd card against my blackjack? This software stinks, and so does this pitt boss.

I was not silent during December, in which they reversed my cash-out at least twice (Keep in mind that there was no bonus or wagering requirement). They have never informed me that they would research the matter. They said "We already paid you." and blew off my reply that Neteller records every transaction and they were wrong. I waited so long because some casinos actually pay after 6 weeks (including Grand Banks). It is clear now that this is non-payment and not a delay.

The name of your casino software is developed by a company called "It's not Rocket Science"?

As for the blackjack game. Well an audit trail isn't needed to know if you pay even money on blackjacks. It's an easy question, do you or don't you?

Bryan really should not tell blatant untruths. Firstly his requested cash out was authorised on 31st December.Since that time nothing further was heard from him until Friday 21st Febuary when he wrote to the casino demanding payment in the rudest possible terms. So far as our records show the cash out has been authorised. Further enquiries are being made of our processing partners to double check that all has gone through. Bryan has not, to my knowledge made any approach to our payment partners despite the fact that there is a 24/7 toll free number that he could have used. His 2 month silence followed by abuse is really not helpful to anyone.
VenetianGold has an impeccable player payment record and this slur on our reputation is igorously denied.
As for the nonsense about wrong Blackjack payouts this is simply untrue and we would be perfectly happy to make Bryans play record public, should he wish, which will show that proper odds are paid and which would entirely refute this insulting and spuri...

This casino, enetiangold.com, owes me $52 from a cash-out I made on 12/2/02. Also, blackjacks pay only even money. They made excuses about faulty software a couple of times and asked me to repeat the cash-out. The last repeat was on 12/30. I sent them an email yesterday and they claimed that they paid me. I rechecked my Neteller log for the third time, and no they haven't. Of the $52 they stole, $50 is my deposit, and $2 is winnings (no bonus money was involved).
