Topic: What is this "Prejudice" against Danish players? Forum: Winner Online

Maybe he was thinking of Vegas Strip.

Of course, I don't have any data to back it up but it's my impression that there are still many Danish bonushunters. You can see for yourself if you log onto Inter around the first of the month. Or try checking out the multi-player tables at a newly opened Boss-casino with a signup bonus. It's not unusually that all the players in there have Danish sounding names. However, it is also true that there are more genuine Danish players than 2 years ago. Just look at the winners when Prestige has a competition. Compared to the size of the country, Denmark has many more winners than other countries, and these people did not play with a bonus.

About being more skilled: I think there is some truth to that in the sense that most Danish players follow the basic strategy when playing BJ. This has something to do with how people get their info about online casinos. Most start out through of the Danish casino-portals and they are ery good at explaining the rules...

Danish bonushunters aren't that different from US bonushunters. There are just relatively more Danish bonushunters than US bonushunters. If the casinos could weed out US bonushunters they undoubtedly would - but you don't see many casinos ban US-players.

I doubt any casino will give you stats on their Danish players. Try and ask one of the bigger Danish portals if they wan't to share. I'm sure they all have some gruesome examples of what Danish bonushunters can do to your stats.

That said, the "Danish problem" is decreasing. The bonushunting created a lot of gamblers, the wagerrequirements have exploded and some of the Danish portals are advertising heavily. The hunter/gambler ratio is a lot more balanced today - and some casinos are quite dependent on Danish players.

@hhcfreebie: I've never heard of a specific Golden Palace/Denmark problem. GP sends out newsletters in Danish :-)

As a matter of fact, people who read and post in this board are much more deadly than Dane.
Casinos have rights to ban whoever for whatever reason, as long as they pay the player in full. It is not fair for many danish players but it will be ery hard to clear the tarnished reputation.
"bonus hunter" or "bonus abuser" really strike fear to most casino operators. They will do anything to prevent them. "dansih = bonus hunter" is only one of the many myth.
I think I read from this board sometimes ago it all started from golden palace. This casino ruined dane's reputation on purpose since they earn quite a bit. I might be wrong.

You have mentioned that you are from Denmark, but that explanation is not proof that Danes are more lethal to internet casinos than other "bonus hunters".

Where are the stats? Objective information that give a legitimate case to this argument. Otherwise it is another form of prejudice based on rumor and innuendo, which is not an acceptable business practice.

If you are going to single out one group of players to specifically exclude, then some form of data should be available to prove you're not just eliminating a aluable source of income.

I find it hard to believe that Danes are that much more intelligent about "bonus hunting" than any other group of dedicated players. Even for those who may have seen this broadcast, I doubt most understood, or even remembered half of what was stated in the report. More likely, it simply stimulated an interest in online gambling, more than providing concrete information exploited by multitudes of Danish citizens.

It's been explained several times in this forum but the short story is that a newsprogram in Denmark did a story about bonus-hunting a couple of years ago. As a result a LOT of Danes starting playing online with the sole purpose of playing with bonuses. Basically the problem just is that Denmark has a large number of bonus-hunters and ery few 'real' players.

What's up with this all out fear of Danish players? Do Danes not pay their bills or something? I have read and read about how Danes are so much more "skilled" than others at beating online casinos, but I have yet to see any objective evidence that this is truly the case.

If ANY casino has this objective evidence that Danish players are so much more of a threat to the economic well-being of online casinos, please let everyone see it, so we can put this issue to rest.
