Ok, I think we don't need two posts going with exactly the identical content, so I won't repeat my question here. I asked it in the other thread.

Just a quick note for any players out there about this thread.

Many people pretend to be your friend so you trust them. Trust is money in the gaming world. If you want to deal with something, either do it as a group of players (the only real power you have) and boycott Odds On or find someone trustworthy with a good track record and I would investigate that person igorously.

As a last note, to my knowledge Odds On owns English Harbour as well as the ones listed below. These are not casinos owned by someone who has licensed the software, they are owned by Odds On.

Silverdollar
CaribbeanGold
Aposte
AllPoker
Superslots
Millionaire

I know, I am an idiot setting myself up for a major bashing here.

It is why I do not normally olunteer to mediate except for people who went through my own sites.

I am acting my conscience here - I know I have a chance at this and I will pursue it.

The only thing that matters in the end is that injured parties are helped.

Forty plus is dead - there will be no new ictims at forty plus. The current ictims deserve a chance at redress. And if it takes me a month or more, it's the right thing to do.

That's ery nice and all dominique but are you really best suited to mediate in this instance? You seem to be a little out of touch with things, considering there have been rumblings about this for at least two months:

Think again! Running a casino requires work and money and dedication regardless of name.

After sitting there for a long time with little to show for it, the owners let themselves be talked into selling it. The new owners are partial to chartwell software.

This doesn't mean oddson isn't good software - you have english harbour, silver dollar, super slots, caribbean gold, all poker, forty plus, millionaire casino, bleu, blanc et rouge, cassino aposte and possibly others. All well establ...

Oddly enough (or perhaps not) Englishharbour was here this afternoon (they post in the webmasters forum) and are probably not at all pleased.

And again, remember microgaming had to be pulled into the Tropika mess kicking and screaming by PwC and the OPA into assuming responsibilty for cleaning it up, which they eventually did after initial resistance.

Every software provider makes this claim and then changes their tune once the waves of criticism hit. Patience.

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

The Casinomeister and I have had similar responses, and it is clear that Odds On think they can get away with simply washing their hands of the Forty Plus debacle.

At least we now know for certain that these shysters have failed and bugged out in the most unprofessional, uncommunicative and dishonest manner possible as far as their players are concerned.

With strong and reputable operations like English Harbour in their stable, one would have thought that Odds On's head honcho Pierre Gagnon could have at the ery least brokered a bail out of some sort - they must have seen this coming if they monitor their licensees at all.

It is disgraceful that these days a supposedly serious turnkey provider can take this sort of "hands off" position.

I hope that they will have the business sense to reconsider their decision not to get involved, because there could be a significant consumer backlash that might be damaging as news of this spreads.

If I we...

It seems odds-on try to mimic RTG's infamous "it's not my business, you are on your own" stance.
If they just sell their software and provide their service to the casino, then it's all fine and dandy. However, most software companies take a share of the profit from casino. Therefore software provider are actually business partner of the casino.
When the casino screw up players, the software provider will take his share of dirty money. When the casino goes out of business, they are on their own. How convenient is that?
Now all oddson casinos should be "guilty unless proven otherwise", so are RTG and playtech casinos.

Not good enough. I shall definetely avoid playing odds on casinos in future. You obviously don't care who you supply your software to. Pathetic.

Some movement finally, confirming that they did go under but not much else:

Of interest is that FortyPlus was licensed in Costa Rica, while the English Harbour group (EH Ventures) has long been licensed in Antigua. This may not mean a whole lot but generally a Caribbean license is seen as being better than a Central American one (Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, etc). For more information on the subject go here:

I've had a player approach me about 40+, same scenario, deposit, no bonus, no response to emails. I'm currently having a hard time getting through to anyone at 40+ so I'd advise that all players stay far away, this one could be messy!!!
