Personally, I don't see why it's not required before hand. They'll take your money in good faith, but won't give it in good faith when you request a withdawal.

And if someone has a problem with supplying their information before hand, then don't play the casinos online. Plain and simple!

This would also stop the majority of player fraud, unfortunately though, it still wouldn't stop the numerous amount casino fraud .

The difference between the 11 year old going online or going to a store, is way different. A store could check ID.

Your logic is missed here? Yes, a store could check ID, but the casino couldn't and was acting in good faith based on all the info it was given. They did nothing illegitimate or illegal or wrong, based on the information they were given.

Based on what you're saying, the casino should be asking everyone for everything before they're allowed to open an account - is that what you want? To have to supply your drivers license, faxback form, and copies of your credit cards before being allowed to play??

Rediculous. IF the story is true, the casino owed him $600.

"Defending a casino for illigitimate tranfer of funds. It's not their money slycin, as it was not deposited by someone who was both authorized or of legal age. I can't believe your position..."

Very true. It was never his sisters money to gamble, so it was never the casinos to win. Unfair but that's how it works in western countries.

"So you didnt even notice 1,000 out of your bank account til your bank statement came in???

Very Odd."

It would depend on the time span between the deposit of the 1k and how long it took the bank to contact him about the deposit.

If you did not make the gaming purchases, then simply deny the charges. You telling the truth, that you did not make them. I filled out such a form, when wager 21 casino took a couple grand from me. It took about 10 days, but my bank covered me, also on a isa debit card. Nobody will be charged with a crime.

IF this story is true, why is the casino being held responsible for someone else's behavoir?? Is this part of that "I'm not responsible for my own behavoir, someone else is"?? BetMax is not responsible for his 11 yr old sister, her parents are; OR his freaking wallet, he is. How did she even get it? If this was a friend that stole his card to buy stuff at a store, would you all be screaming that the store was a thief and the STORE owed him? The "11 yr old sister" owes him the money - no one else.

OOgt - IF this story is true, it's too bad for you. Gamblers claim this crap all the time when they overgamble with casinos, whether it's online or offline. IF this story is true, your sister needs to have the chit scared out of her by pressing charges. If you don't do that, she'll have learned she can get away with identity theft on the internet - a MUCH larger issue because she'll do it again. SHE is the one that owes you the money, otherwise you're teaching her this behavoir is...

i did go for the entire amount. A stipulation for holding a isa check card at my bank states that if you want a full chargeback in a fraud case you HAVE to press charges. its in the fine print.
By the way, the money is back in my account so i guess Blast21 has redeemed themselves to some extent, its not like i didnt have to fight for it.

This really isnt't a big deal if you dont wish to gamble on line any more, simply do a chargeback for 1000$ and get on with your life. Case Closed.
It's well documented that Blast 21 are a bunch of crooks so I'm sure no one on the site will dispute the fact that a chargeback is in order for the full 1000$.

My advice: If your sister gets an allowance of $10/ week, ask your parents to take it away from her for 2 years. You'll get a little over a thousand back and the girl will learn a lesson. That is, if the story is true. I also find it hard to believe that an 11 year old would steal their brother's card and make over a grand in deposits.

If this actually is true, I would think you would have gone for the entire amount back and not settled for the $600. I mean, come on!

OOgt,

We get so many scammers on here crying "foul" that most regular readers have learned to ask questions before taking up the cause. I do believe an 11 year old could and would do all of this. Cruising the internet, casino ads are all over the place, especially where email is involved. Considering how we complain about spam, they probably spammed her email box with it so much, she was tempted to do this.

Anyway, I regret that you've had to endure this, but such is life in the 21...

WOW. Pretty smart 11-year old, if you ask me.

Not only did she install the casino software & create an account in your name, but also had to make a deposit through the casino cashier with your credit card, and play the games in order to lose the $400.

That's some wiz kid.

in this case, you should have charged back every single penny. BetMax has absolutely no right to your cash, not even the 400$ that your sister lost.

the only reason they are sendinb back the 600 is because they know you've found out you can get the ENTIRE 1000$ back. It's not too late to email them and say "f*** you, i'm getting it all back." if it's been within 30 days of you receiving your credit card statement.

The laws in Costa Rica are quite clear about all this - oh wait, there are no laws in Costa Rica.

Lastly, I don't understand how your bank can knowingly be transferring monies to an offshore casino in the first place. Have a good one.

They knew because the transactions overdrew the account and flagged the bank.

No, Cipher was asking how you managed to deposit at all, using an american credit card to a RTG casino. Can we have the bank's name and the credit card used?

I would then suggest that you have your bank check with their own attorneys and have their attorneys review the case of PROVIDIAN MASTER CARD s HAINES. Lastly, I don't understand how your bank can knowingly be transferring monies to an offshore casino in the first place. Have a good one.

It's simple, dude. If you did not make the charges, simply say so on the form. I had a Wager21 casino charge me $2000 after making only a couple of $20 deposits. I denied them, of course. My bank credited me all of the $2000, plus the $40, stating "all internet gambling is oid". BTW, this was a Visa debit card, not a credit card. Also, all Wager21 powered casinos are theives!

Bottom line: If you have a legitimate claim you will get your money back. You will also be barred from all other RTG casino's, which in itself is not a bad thing.

No, thats not how it works. You'll get your money back, the casino will have no choice but to pay the bank and the casino will just blacklist you, which isnt a big deal since you dont gamble in the first place.

CHARGEBACK the $1,000 IMMEDIATELY. The bank WILL get your money back. Trust me.
