They admitted it to me in person at a conference a couple of years ago. Said that management didn't know, that it was the programmers' idea, and those guys are all gone now and the new software is fair.

Yup, they never acknowledged the evidence of cheating produced by Michael S, preferring to jump ship to another platform and "clean up".
Cold comfort for the cheated players.

Just a reminder of how Starluck and the related casinos cheated players out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
They used to give webmasters an unheard of percentage for that time (around 50%) so they were advertised everywhere on the web.
They reportedly also cheated webmasters too (Jerry Garner mentioned before on this board that they cheated him).
Wizard of Odds had similar incredible results at these casinos and there was no doubt that the blackjack was rigged and bug-ridden. They haven't done anything to resolve it and haven't compensated any players.

"i notice that the first three post in this thread are from people without profiles. I have never seen one before, what are the odds of 3 in a row?"
Must be a glitch. Sirius (who started this thread) has been a member of this board longer than ANYONE according to my research, LOL.

I´m also ery surprised about CasinoNow´s statement.
Are u also talking about the downloadable software? I have a lot of play behind me that says otherwise.

That is a powerful statement.
Are you referring to the software from three years ago (when this thread was started) or their new software?
If you are claiming their new software is rigged, can you say how you arrived at this conclusion? If not, would you be interested in gathering some evidence? (My dime.)
I will be the first to jump on the "Bash em" bandwagon if / when we get some current data supporting the contention that they are “rigged.”

Tester; I was too categorical in my answer. I can not say for sure either way. I´m pretty sure the DL-software is fair, the little I´ve tested the Java-software has been unpleasant experiences...
The software that was proved rigged in the past was the Java-software. I belive there is a risk that this software is not changed.

If they are stioll offering rigger Java games as I can infer from your post, how could you trust them on anything. Even trusting a company that cheated in the past is hard for me - but a company that STILL cheats cannot be trusted for a penny

Sirius;
First of all, I did not realise that this was a several years old thread when I first read it through.
"You can't say any casino is fair."
Well, in one sense that is indeed correct. I believe your opinion is quite rare however, most ppl do classify some software as fair and some as rigged.
"Why do you want to keep any of the crooks in business by playing there?"
Letting the crooks stay in business is exactly what we want to work AGAINST. That´s why we should supply inducements for casinos to turn good. That is also why we should support cheating software that is now fair such as ClockMedia.
In IGMs case it´s more doubtful. Their JAVA-version might still be rigged and in that case they should not be supported. Unfortunately I have not seen any recent tests of that software. Their downloadable software is fair however.

They didn't have a downloadable casino then. Do you think they'll refund everyone's losses from before as they should do? I was just one of many with these kind of results. You can't say any casino is fair. Even if they seem fair they could rig the games anytime. Even CasinoBar seemed as fair as any other a few years ago and had amazing promotions giving away hundreds of dollars every week. Why do you want to keep any of the crooks in business by playing there?

Sweet, isn't it? Rip players for thousands, come back with a "we're reformed" sob story, and expect to get the mugs back in through the doors.
Stay away from crooks.
Thanks for the Blast From The Past, Sirius.

My own records at Planet Luck show more than $50,000 put into action at blackjack. Bonus totaled $1200, and profits from playing totaled another $400--for a total profit of $1600.
While I lost $1000 at Starluck, I see no reason to bash these casinos. Games seemed fair (though the rules are not great) throughout my playing experience at these casinos.
I played both casinos in late 2002.

This is what happened three years ago at Starluck casino. Less than a one in a million chance in a fair game of losing 90 units in 250. I had played a similar promotion at PlanetLuck before and ended on $700 (a loss of $300) but my bet size was higher and it wasn't so obviously rigged, having about 2% chance. Most IGlobalMedia sites stated that the games were fair and complied with Nevada regulations.
Unbelievably, people are still playing them now and there isn't much of a fuss that they stole from lots of players before. Why are IGlobalMedia still around? What do you think they'd say if I asked for my $300 back I lost at Planet Luck? I can't believe how they can still carry on.

I did the 50% Zantana promotion 2 weeks ago and escaped with about half of my bonus intact. For about the last 25% of my bets I switched to Baccarat after becoming frustrated with the blackjack.
I played the double-deck Las Vegas game (Java). One interesting thing I did notice is that they appear to be using a real shuffle at about 75% penetration. That is they indicate a shuffle after dealing about 75 cards, and during that time I saw no more than 2 of any single card.
This does not mean they can't cheat; just imagine yourelf dealing to a blind man, and rummaging through the deck to find a face card to bust him, or the last five to hit your 16.
Someone on Casinomeister posted about playing GoldKey for their high stakes roulette promotion, which should have killed them if it was fair, and getting no hits (probability about 10%).
I've been leery of trying the 20% promotions at GoldKey, but was tempted to try this 50% promotion on the grounds that "they can't poss... | | Read Entire Entry |

You won't believe the return I got on StarLuck Blackjack. 69% after betting 300 bet units ($5 a hand). I was playing perfect basic strategy. Maybe they scale the odds to the offset the bonus (I got 50%). The return I got is clearly impossible.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH it will be funny if they say there wasn't anything wrong. I am awaiting their response.
I had to wait a while while they *upgraded* (did they downgrade the odds?) before even the HTML games worked. The JAVA games didn't work for me maybe because STARLUCK CAN ONLY CHANGE THE ODDS AT WILL FOR THE HTML GAMES (I don't know- just wondering).
You might have heard me going on about an 86% return at blackjack after about 250 hands at Planet Luck (2% chance). I thought I was just unlucky there a few months ago and tried out Starluck's 50% bonus offer today. The return I got from Starluck is 5 standard deviations out from the average for a fair game! I think they can ary the odds because it eased off noticebly after 250... | | Read Entire Entry |
