I am now more inclined to believe PoppaTerry's account of what happened.
Dave R, I think I asked you in another forum a long time ago but I can't remember what the situation was with your friend. What was the problem with collecting his $2800?

I just got another email from the IGC and a copy of Club Dice's reply. Funny, it's the same reply they posted here word for word. Anyways, since the thieves at Club Dice are not members of the IGC and the Club Dice reply called me a liar (again), the IGC can't do anything to help.
I still haven't received an answer from the Antiguan licencing authorities and I'm beginning to doubt I will.

That's good to hear - keep us advised!
BTW did you ever get a response to the complaint you were going to submit to the Antiguan licencing authorities?

I will report on the fiasco with my friends $2800 ASAP. I am waiting to hear back. He did receive ALL his $$, but I want to find out why it he had to jump through hoops to get it. Management shouldn't have closed off discussions.

One last update from me.
All of the credit cards I used at Club Dice have charged back my entire investment in that casino. The people at Xbil ignored information requests from the credit card companies and as a result, Xbil's transactions will be refused from two of the companies.
They wanted me to go away quietly. Well, I did go away, but I kicked and screamed until I got satisfaction.
Thanks again for all of your support.

Playtech operates all three brands - ClubDice, BranyCasino and CityClub under different companies and all three must be avoided.
Steve, Mary, can you please post this at the OPA website

Looks like a bogus legal move from a questionable software company, Terry! Undoubtedly trying to scare you off. Bad move with a determined player! And as Trader says, the firm could be in a world of s*** if this is not genuine.
Let us know how you get on with the complaints procedure. Are these people members of the Interactive Gaming Council? If so that may be another avenue, and the wider this issue is broadcast the better - I will do a follow-up on CasinoGazette next week too.
In the meantime it seems to me that the other casinos using Playtech software must now come under suspicion - maybe Playtech operates them all and is trying to cover that up???

I am not sure of this, but it may be a crime to represent yourself as an attorney if you do not have a license to practice. You might want to check with the bar association. Since many lawmakers in our country are lawyers they usually protect themselves pretty well.
Personally, I was so annoyed by the 14 popup ads from Club Dice that come up on the Gambling Doctor web site that I decided not to play there. Now I have a more rational reason to stay away.

You'll never believe this....
I received email from ClubDice today inviting me to give them more of my money!
Oh, and ClubDice is run by PlayTech. I did a traceit on the email. It originated from mail.playtechgaming.com. They lied again. I also tried to find their attorneys listing in New York. Couldn't find their names on the New York Bar website.
Owell....
I've written my letters of complaint to the gaming officials and will wait for the replies...If I ever get them.

It is incredible to me that these lawyers they allege they have employed can apparently disregard the hard evidence of your ISP that your PC was dormant over this period. To my mind this whole case must turn on that because they claimed that you did these transactions from your home PC.
If nothing else you have warned everyone here and perhaps further afield that Club Dice is one casino which should be avoided - this whole issue leaves a ery bad taste and seems to be yet another example of a sub-standard casino lifting the finger at a player with a fair complaint.
Good luck - I can understand your reservations about online gambling after this unfortunate experience.

The software developer had the casino investigate my claims (again) and I received a letter from their attorneys. They're satisfied that either I or someone using my information gambled the money away. I have spent the last half hour closing out all of my online casino accounts and will no longer be playing online.
I'm not a quitter nor am I am liar, but I don't have the funds nor the power to fight these people. Perhaps someone did indeed use my information to gamble my winnings away, I don't know. I do know that it's much safer to play at a real sit down and have a free drink casino. I will be doing that from now on.
Thanks for all of your support.

I believe my friend has now been paid his $2800 in full. I need to find out if he went through Playtech or if Club Dice resolved the situation with him.
Full details to be posted soon.
But it still bothers me that management
arbitrarily decided to close of all communications. Casinos/Software providers should always keep an open line of communication with players, even if they disagree. Even if they don't choose to communicate daily, they should at least try to communicate once per week.

That sounds like the logical direction to follow. Call them, email them, fax them, or heck, hop on a plane and go isit them. Im sure theyd like to know if one of their companies is treating people badly.

PlayTech responded today. They've asked for further information and documentation and I've sent to them what I had and I will be sending them a hard copy of my ISP's report ASAP. I also provided them with a link to this message thread for their reading.
I wrote a letter today to the reported owner of Club Dice. We'll see what that brings about. I've checked as completely as I can and find no endorsements or accredations for Club Dice. I can't file a complaint with the endorsers (did I just make that word up?) if their not endorsed by anyone.
I really don't remember the name of the casino that called me yesterday. I can't with good intentions say it was so and so when it might be some other one. I am sure that there is some information trading going on. I shouldn't have brought the phone call up in this thread as it may not have anything do with Club Dice.
I guess now it's just wait and see.

How frustrating! I would then check into who endorses this casino, any accredations they may have and lodge a complaint with them. No casino will get business if they lose their endorsements.

To Flipper: I've already talked to my attorney. Unfortunately Club Dice Casino is physically based in a "foreign country" and therefor is protected from any and all criminal and civil actions brought against them from the United States. The only court that can do any good in this instance is the court of public opinion, as I don't have the money or the influence to bring this to a court in the country that they operate from.
To Jetset: Thanks for the name and address. I don't think it will do any good, but I'll write to Mr Trepidis to tell him of my concerns anyway.

Your best bet with this is to consult an attorney. This is a large amount of money, and if theyve done it to you, theyve done it to others. There is a way to "interogate" both your computer and the casinos and the truth will come out. Usually if they commited fraud you will be awarded punitive damages and the company may be shut down. With internet gambling such a controversial topic among lawmakers, this would make an interesting case, possibly a class action if others come forward with similar complaints. Interogation of computers has been most useful in cases of divorce where one spouse has had "internet affairs" etc. People would be surprised what actually is traceable including emails. Your ISPs records are a wonderful start. Flip

Keep us advised, Terry. In the meantime I will include this in some media outlets with which I am connected in order to warn other gamblers about these people.
If Playtech is not at the ery least acknowledging your emails then I think they must also come under the spotlight and run the risk of catching some of the fall-out from this disgraceful incident.
BTW according to my information Club Dice is operated as Celebrity Club CY Limited by one Kiki Trepidis from PO Box 27142 Nicosia Cyprus Tel 3572678944.
Brandy and City Club casinos are both limited liability companies run out of Antigua.
If Club Dice has Antigua licencing then that is a hopeful shot. They have recently been revamping their legislation and have been boasting that they will now be policing their licencees more closely.
This could be a good test of their boasts.

To Mary: I've been to the OPA website, but haven't done the paperwork for membership yet. I'm having a problem with PayPal as they say I already have an account, but I don't have one so I don't know the password assigned to 'my' account! I've sent them email and hopefully will be able to get a PayPal account soon so I can join the OPA. I'd love to meet you over drinks in Las Vegas. I've got family there and look for just about any excuse to go. However, I'll be in Florida on business the first week in October.
To Prosperity9035: My ISP says that my internet account was NOT active during the time that Club Dice says it was. My understanding of the way Club Dice handles withdrawals (besides stealing them!) is that they will send an email confirming the withdrawal request. I opened an account last week at Club Dice.
Irrespective of another member claiming that Playtech and Club Dice are the same corporate entity it is my impression that Club Dice and Playtech have a client server relationship and that Playtech should have all records maintained on its site independently of Club Dice. Thus I consider a phone call to management at Playtech of the highest priority.
Furthermore, of the 3 casino clients currently using Playtech only Club Dice appears to be licenced, with their licence being in Antigua. FWIW a complaint could be filed with the Antiguan Directorate of Gaming.
Finally I think a provider of new software, which has been on the market for less than 5 months, would be most anxious to resolve any issue of hacking or internal theft.
Good luck with getting a resolution Terry and let us know how this all turns out.

Sorry about this situation Poppa.
What it tough is that they say it was the same session you played AND requested the cashin.
Are you saying that your internet provider says you were NOT online at the times stated below?
Also why did the casino send an email about the cashin?

Playtech is a relatively new software provider, and with two instances of hinky accounting turning up in the small population of message board posters, it's quite possible that it is a big problem brewing for them that they would like to know about.
It would be a courtesy to inform them that this is occurring and that they might want to look at the backend of their backend or rethink their security.
Go through their website, www.playtech.com

Since Playtech is also the operator of ClubDice (they hide behind a different company name) I don't believe they will assist in any way.
My advice to you Terry - chargeback your deposits.
And stay away from Brandy Casino and CityClub Casino too, another two Playtech brands

DaveR's advice to contact Playtech and get an audit trail is good, Terry (some software providers will refer this sort of enquiry to the casino but if you speak personally to a manager there and insist I'm sure they will come through)
Playtech looks to be OK, although it's hard to tell these days and I am sure that at this relatively early stage in their business development the last thing they want is unscrupulous casino operators screwing up their image.
Do it soon! Keep us posted here.

"Perhaps this is the real problem. Someone outside the casino is logging in as you and playing your money away without your knowledge? How would one prove it and how would one stop it? Tricky questions indeed!"
Why would a third party want to do that? They can't collect the money if they win. It's either the casino or casino staff skimming if there is a hacking-type situation of this sort.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I'm sure that the software provider has nothing to do with it. What I was refering to is this 'new' casino being run by the same people that run Club Dice.
I've contacted 2 of the credit card companies so far (2 more to go). They were both surprised to learn that the charges for "internet purchases" were actually for internet gambling. The credit card companies are investigating now.

I highly doubt the software provider has anything to do with this, PoppaTerry.
Contact Playtech directly, and request a full audit trail of all transactions, and the time of your disconnect from the server.
In fact, if I were you, I'd call Playtech directly. Speak to a live person. There's a good chance this audit will directly refute what the casino has told you, and will allow you to prove your case.
This is your only hope. Once again, I highly doubt anyone will have manufactured an audit trail. Therefore the TRUTH will come out.
