Re comment above about slots being expensive habit.
This weekend, at land casino, I know one player took in $500 and walked out with $10,000+ just playing ordinary $1 machines; another had $32,000 balance showing on his $1 machine. I saw a bloke put in $20 and cash out $35,000 - I haven't seen such gains as often using small outlays from table games. I'm not talking about jackpots.
Our largest jackpot of $2 million was won with just $9...wish that would happen to me LOL!

I think Mary is correct, and that it is a paperwork issue. Nevada has the most lenient gaming regulations of any place in North America. All you need there is something called a "Manufacturer's License" to change the chip. The cost is somewhat prohibitive though as around $1K a pop.
Edit: I should have added something about state or provincial regulations. First nation casino's are another matter altogether!

Just to give my .02, I played at Golden Tiger about a year ago and never went back, not because of any wrong doing by the casino but just because I didnt feel like it. So I see Yukon Gold open up so I figure I'll give there sign up bonus a shot, what happens, I get an email after I make my deposit that I am eligable for a 50$ bonus, I go to casinorewards and click on it and it says that I cannot collect it due to my past play at their casinos. What a crook of $hit. Why did they send me that email if they wont give me the bonus anyways. Needless to say I simply withdrew and will never go back. To me, this is false advertising, why the hell send me the email if your not gonna give me the bonus. So I say to all, piss on casino rewards, they suck.

For land casinos, it aries from state to state (or country to country); and in the US and Canada, the First Nations have different rules as well.
In New Jersey, a casino can't change the EPROM chip in the slot machine without an observer from the Gaming Commission present. In Nevada, they can, but it's not worth the work and paperwork to do it every day. Slot floor managers typically order so many chips and so many "boxes" (the machines themselves) for their floors and don't change them out much.
Not sure what will happen when slot machines become "kiosks" with downloadable software.
If you use Google and search for the state you're curious about +"Gambling Commission" you can usually find the regulations online for slot machines in that state.

I think casinos only have to set the average minimum payout of slots, but they can change the payout of every single machine daily. I am not sure how much is the minimum payout, I guess it's different from city to city.
Wizard of odds has conducted a research on the payout of slots in LV:
http://www.customstrategycards.com/slots_article.htm
As you can see, the house edge of slots is 7-14%, about 14x - 28x more than BJ or fully paid VP.
I myself has use wizard's methodology on one RTG slot and find out the payout is 89-90%. Maybe MG offer better odds on slots, still they can change the payout anytime.
Maybe I've said too much. Without slot players, the online gambling industry would be no more.
As far as I know, slot players tend to love slots and will play slots no matter what the odds is. I am sorry if I offend any slot players in ayway but I must say it's a ery expensive habbit.

In Las Vegas & most other strictly regulated cities, the casinos can't change the slot payout % overnight at their own will. Can't be legal without the authority's approval.

Either you are lucky or you have a selective memory of your wins and forget your losses. You have a better chance of being able to play for an hour with a bankroll of $20 at almost any other game, e.g., blackjack, baccarat, ideo poker, assuming that you bet the same amounts. If you play slots, you are ery likely to go bust in 10 minutes unless you hit a big payout early on. If you like the chance of a big win with a small house edge, then play ideo poker.
Here is some more rigorous analysis. Looking at the PWC reports, MG slots seem to have a house edge of about 4%, so you expect to get $500 action from your $20. This is just an average, if you hit, say, a $100 payout, then your expectation goes up by $2500, but with high probability you will lose ery quickly. So glad another MG slot player alidated that here, I was starting to think I was the only one who found those stats disturbing. The ONLY people who could understand are those who are familiar with the MG slots. Its sad to me that anyone would think those stats are typical...I would NEVER play if they were! I just learned how to do screen shots so I went back to playcheck and took screen shots of my wins from today, now I just have to figure out how to get them here: ) I dont know of any game I can play for an hour on $20 besides slots, OR any game where you can turn $20 into $3500 besides slots.

A lot of people dont like slots, but slots have been great to me. Its not the $65 I was complaining about... 9 in 185 spins is crazy even for slots...and trust me I am a slot fanatic. YES slots are iffy, but they usually have it set to where it keeps you intrigued winning small amounts here and there to keep you playing & keep it fun. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE!!!
After writing them an email explaining how rediculous thier payouts are, and explained my losses in detail to them (as i have pasted below). I recieved a response that said they checked out my account and everything was as it should be AND that I should check Price Waterhouse Coopers for thier payout percentages...THATS SO FUNNY...I checked Price Waterhouse Coopers and THEY HAVE NO RECORD.
I am an avid online gambler & I have won a lot and lost a lot over the years, but the losses here are unlike ANY casino I have ever incountered. I would NEVER (before today) complain to a casino about losing because it happens and thats why its called gambling, I know that, but the losses were so unreal that my husband and I started to make bets on whether I would even hit a win (even the smallest) in less than 15 spins. Heres how my play went and you tell me if this doesnt sound like crap...
My first win was on my first spin $20 on a $3 spin at "wow"...I was... | | Read Entire Entry |

We even had a contest for players to win some money for downloanding, but we pulled all banners and even the contest for this casino. We try not to ever sponsor a bad casino.. and with all this mess, we didn't want to take a risk to have our loyal players at our forum spending their hard earn money on a place like this.
I got on live support with one of the managers at Yukon the night ohdreampop posted her problem with them. I even had him go to the forum to check it out, he said he would contact her within 24 hours. I know it was taken care of but I believe all the forums that had their banners probably contacted them left and right to get dreampop her credits, is just not right~they should of honored her deposit in the first place!
Its just a bad apple this time and hopefully there will be a good one coming out soon!
Big hugs all!

I just received an apology from Yukon Gold as well, saying that their computerized system "unfairly singled you [me] out" and "incorrectly triggered something off in our system".
Give me a friggin' break....
Humans -more fallable than software code- made the final call. Else why did the bonus show up in the Casino Rewards account? Yukon Gold/Casino Rewards could have salvaged some integrity points by admitting their mistake but again make a bad call.

I looked this morning and there was nothing in my account, but thanks to whomever it was of importance [Payday Joe (the affiliate I used)? James at the Pig Post? Someone here?] who wrote to them for me, I got the promo credited in my account at some point this evening. It's a shame when you need to jump through a million hoops and then have to post on a public board as a last resort, but at least it worked. Thanks to anyone who helped.

Yep..you should loose . Thats the spirit of the promotion. It has allways been that, and i think it allways will be. For all online casinos ...
Remember, if you dont, your either "bonus hunter", "You have done fraudulent activity", "bonus abuser", or something else .

I'm ahead from playing at Golden Tiger and Lucky Emperor too. I got the email about Yukon Gold from casinorewards and was going to give it a go, but not after reading this thread.
Although casino rewards did give me an extra $5 here, $20 there in daily rewards that was easily lost as I always try to double that free money or go for broke.

I hit two Royals at Blackjack Ballroom.
It was 1400$ profit.
I won 500$ at Golden Tiger including 250$ bonus.
I won 400$ at Lucky Emperor including 110$ bonus.
They paid without any problem and I have pretty good impression about this group.
It's really sad to hear this kind of trouble.
I hope this would be just a mistake and resolved soon.

All ery lame from this group.
You'd think common-sense would prevail but for $50 Yukon Gold/Casino Rewards have effectively bought themselves some bad press. Casino's spend so much money trying to get and retain players and then pull brain-dead stuff such as this. Just boggles the mind.

Oh, I agree and I would normally wait. However, I had never thought that a Microgaming would pull something so... RTG (or Playtech) like this. Besides that, support told me that everything was fine and that it would just take an hour or two. I'm still mad, but it makes me feel a little better that a few people won't play there now (hhc and some guy in the promo section). There's a decent chance that I would have lost that $50 bonus anyway since I was planning to play power poker, but it's the whole point of the matter. I feel like they tricked me and are showing rogue behaviour.

The reputation of casino reward group is now officially down to the drain.
Frist they changed their T&C a few times and apply to players who deposit before. Now they add these excuses not to pay out bonus, even after you loose your deposit.
If you got the promotion from Got2bet, he should be able to help you in some way.
I tried to sign up as well. Fortunately their download link was broken so I couldn't download.
I'd say casino reward group is now among the worst MG out there.

I deposited $50 for the match and played my $50 to nothing while waiting for the bonus, because support told me it may take a few hours but I will get it.
