Please do. Your input is most welcome and you know where to find us.
Thank YOU for pointing this out. From now on additional checks to monitoring systems has been added to prevent such occurrences in the future.

Kudos to Ken too - but I must point out, Mart, that these issues had been pointed out to Playtech on a number of occasions in the past with no response - forcing sites like mine to put a disclaimer advising punters that the numbers may occasionally be inaccurate and may generate false alerts.

And, thank you to Playtech support. It's nice to get a response about trouble with progressive feeds. I've sent many emails over the last couple of years, and most of them to other software providers just get ignored.

I got a response back from Playtech tech support. According to them, there was an issue with the jackpot feeds caused by connectivity problems between Antigua and London. That rings true, because as Got2Bet points out, this is not the first time their feeds have been inaccurate.
They've reset the feeds, and they do now indicate the alue of the progressives inside the casino. Although several of the Caribbean Poker jackpots are now showing substantially lower jackpots than before, but that could just be because they were inaccurately high before.
At this point, I'm satisfied with their response, but as always, I'll keep my eye on things.

Playtech's feeds aren't exactly the most reliable on earth. But they did change three of their progressives and add a fourth - and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if all of the Caribbean Poker jackpots were to be combined into one, which makes a lot more sense to me.
Do keep us posted.

OK, I finally got a chance to log in to the only one of these casinos for which I have an account, Slots.com. The jackpot for it definitely isn't at $71,936 which is what I showed up until Thursday morning. It's at $10,226, which unfortunately also disagrees with the $5264 being reported at SlotCharts. So, the progressive feed is out of whack at the moment.
The big question is: Was the jackpot inside the casino really $71K this morning? In other words, did these 10 jackpots get reset, and aren't tracking correctly now, or were they tracking incorrectly before this morning and the reset was a phantom event?
I no longer know. I'll try my contact at PlayTech after I have a chance to work out the details.

Yes, some are back I see. I was beginning to wonder whether it was your software that was malfunctioning. Glad to see it's not that for your sake although maybe that would be favourable to you even rather than see p/tech try to pull a stunt on the public.

Hehe, yes, I'm a bit of a thorn in their side I expect.
Just now I see that some of the jackpots are back. Looks like it might be a temporary glitch in their reporting side. However, some of the jackpots are still around the reset alue of $5000. Later tonight I'll finally be at a computer where I can login to the actual casino to check. I'll post afterwards of my findings.

Today at 9:20 AM Central time, 10 jackpots at arious Playtech casinos for the game Caribbean Poker all reset to the $5000 starting level, according to the progressive ticker information.
The casinos are:
(All the Main Street Vegas group: )
Slots.com
Diamond Deal
Twin Aces
Las Vegas USA
Sun Palace
Vegas Casino Online
(And these unrelated: )
Dr Ho 888
Sports Interaction
Vegas Red
Sterling
The total of the 10 Caribbean Jackpots was $558K, and is now $5000 X 10.
I haven't logged in to any of the casinos yet to see if this is actually correct, but the jackpot alue feeds now show the reset alues. If it's convenient, please check inside a casino and post here.
Hopefully, it's an error. If not, we've seen this trick before from Boss Media, and public outcry led to the money being reinstated.
Also interesting is that the reset jackpots all seem to be climbing at the same rate now, as if they'v... | | Read Entire Entry |
