Uhhhh, is this the same Virtual Casino that has the awful reputation for bad service and not paying? The same one that had a policy at their sports books of, "Anyone who gets up over $9,000 we just don't pay."
I think it doesn't matter what the pay schedule is if you can never cash out.

We can only set the pay out of the game, 9-6, 8-5 and so on.
We do not and cannot control the cards.
With the new multi hand poker we have most machines set at the 8-5 pay out rate.
We have all the Jacks or Better set at the 9-6 pay out rate.
I'm a big ideo poker fan myself, I hit for $63,000.00 on the hundred hand bonus deuces wild game.
(For you jokers out there reading this, no I did not cash it out!) LOL

Now I'm wondering, is this Phoenician wide? Or can they change the pay tables on an individual basis? How about you Phoenician players out there? Is your JoB 8-5?
yes sadly Phoenician downgraded their paytable on JOB a while back.. it's system wide..

The post I recall regarding slots said that the % was rotated by RTG, so that there were good and bad periods for those people that have a favourite machine.
The other stuff that cannot be tweaked at the backend needs its paytable tweaked to create a shortpay game, which as a player is the way you want it to be so that you can see straight away if you specialise in that game.

Thanks ery much for the tip hccfreebie. I guess it just came as a shock to me since I only recently tried a couple RTG casinos. I have been lulled by MG, and Crypto so hadn't thought to look once the first RTG casino had the payouts I saw at Wizardofodds.
By the way, it is ery easy to notice that JoB is 6-5, but with some of the other games the change is more subtle.

While most RTG casinos turned down their VP's paytable, some casinos did just the opposite.
For example, Sci-fi and Breakaway casinos both offer fully paid deuces wild on 5 cents level. Players even have a tiny advantage with those fully paid VPs.
Just like gamblegirl said. If you don't like it, don't play it. You can also download their software and see the paytable in "play for fun" mode.
It's not that hard to avoid terrible RTG VPs.

Perhaps I was unduly harsh before. I just couldn't imagine a serious ideo poker player not checking the paytables before deciding to play, out of habit if nothing else.

Maybe I am in the minority Gamble Girl, but I am used to one software being the same from casino to casino. If I play at a casino using Microgaming then I know every one of those will have the same pay tables at VP. If I play at Playtech, every one of those will have the same pay tables. Same for Cryptologic or Boss Media. In addition, I have come to rely on Wizard of Odds for solid information. When his website tells me that RTG software has 9-6 JoB I believed him. Obviously I will be more diligent in the future.

>>SNIP<< The paytables are displayed. If you don't want to play 6-5 JoB then don't. Is it really that difficult?
(Is there a full moon out? )

On the Wizard of Odds site he mentions that each casino using RTG software can set its own hold percentage for slots. Well they can also set their own pay tables at Video Poker! Any of you who go to the Wizard of Odds site and look at the review of their software are in real danger of being screwed if you just look at Wizard of Odds pay tables.
One example - At Phoenician Jacks or Better is 9-6 just as on the Wizard's site. At Palace of Chance the JoB is 6-5 !!! That is the payoff on my software.
Gee, I wonder if RTG also allows their licensees to change the odds at Blackjack and other game?
I know the RTG guy posts here, so I'm eager to hear his response.
