Topic: How do we know those dealers aren't cheating? Forum: Winner Online

"The probability of 3 BJs in a row is about 1 in 8900" I was just playing at a Playtech casino and as we all know, Playtech cheats. They must have flipped the switch while I was playing, here is what happened. I placed a $25 bet, double it for 20 and the dealer gets a 3 card 21, that happened twice the exact same way in about 3 minutes. I lost 2 other $25 bets to 3 card dealer 21's when I had 20. I was pissed, they cheat right. Then, they flipped the switch and I got BJ 3 times in a row, all with $25 bets. Grandmaster wrote "The probability of 3 BJs in a row is about 1 in 8900" So maybe it was just bad luck and good luck, playtech does not seem to play random and more often than not they cheat in their favor. Has anyone ever had a great run playing BJ at a playtech casino, I don't think I have ever won more than 7 hands in a row but sometimes the dealer will win 15+ in a row, and I have played a lot of playtech, billions of hands!

The chances of losing this much or more is about 1 in 600, if you are playing the correct strategy, so you were unlucky, but not exceptionally so.

I have played about 15000 hands of Boss Media single deck BJ and I am up 0.3% overall.

According to www.wizardofodds.com, the single deck blackjack of
Boss Media has a player edge of 0.11%, but the way he calculate
it isn't on the website. I think he calculated it only on the basis of
the rule, and haven't check it on the actual game.
Is there any third party who checks the fairness of the games?
During the games, they tied my 21 cards many times. I almost
punched the display.

you can't look back at a series of events and pick out an improbable characteristic of these events, and then go back in time and compute the probability of this happening. If you are going to be this way, then if the dealer's upcard was hearts 5 times in a row, then you could say the odds of this being a random game are 1/1024 (* the number of hands played). you play a couple hundred rounds of any game and there will be anomolies from the norm.

plus, the events you describe are just not that unlikely. if teh dealer got blackjack 7 times in a row that might be something. plus, even if there was cheating going on by the major providers, with the late shift software out, I bet they all cleaned up their act. Casinos cheat nowadays using other methods, such as not paying.

I played the single deck blackjack at Prestige Casino after that,
and then again they defeated me in a flash. I used 10% betting
system during the game, and my credit was never over the original
amount. I'll avoid the casinos who uses Boss Media in the future.
Thank you for your reply.

We don't know. The probability of BJ in the single deck game is 4.83%. The probability of two consecutive BJs is 0.233% or 1/429. The probability of 2 consecutive dealer BJs at least once in 197 hands is about 37%, the probability of this happening exactly once is about 29%, twice 6.6%, three times 1%. The probability of 3 BJs in a row is about 1 in 8900, so the probability of 3 consecutive BJs in 197 hands is about 2.2% or 1 in 45. The things that happened to you may have been unlucky, but they are not ery rare. I have had 3 BJs in a row many times, even 4 BJs once.
