"There are many, many, many more online casino's which could be classified as "disreputable"

I agree with the above statement, but Casino City has shown itself to be interested in cooperating and something positive can perhaps come out of this.

Perhaps the members here who have a problem with specific casinos on the CC site should email Michael Corfman and give him the detail and preferably a few links in support (the Casino Bar report on the Wizard's site comes to mind as an example) This will assist his staff in marking those that are questionable.

We still have more to do, but we now at least have a skull and crossbones up for windows casino. See our popularity ranked list of online casinos to see what we have done thusfar: online.casinocity.com/casinos/. We will be expanding to include more casinos, and adding the skull and crossbones on the detailed pages for individual casinos next week as appropriate. So far we have changed the listing pages so the "play" link goes to our detail page rather than the casino itself from the listing page, and on the detail page we have removed the play now graphic treatment, and included a warning about the casino.

We had decided the right resolution was to award a skull and crossbones to selected casinos, and windows casino was going to be the ery first one to receive this distinction from us.

You may want to include Magic Oasis as well, a sister casino to Windows. There are many, many, many more online casino's which could be classified as "disreputable" but in awarding Windows --"winner of 10 online gaming awards" and "Best Online Casino 2002, 2004" --this inaugural distinction you have chosen wisely.

It is changed now? Well alrighty then.

End of woe.

It's the ones that come by after errors trying some half arsed arguement to pretend an error was'nt made, those are the ones that don't get the time to make the omelette.

You have had your egg and got to eat it ~ can't be all bad.

Peace.

Don't know enough to have an agenda of any substance our Jetset.

You though ~ now you know lots.

Your line or AGENDA as you describe others opinion, is you are completely sold as to Ecogra's worth, whereas a firm that started with Micro and Cassava money and first off gives seals of approval to only Micro and Cassava firms raises my hackles somewhat? ~ Did you say something about Ones OWN AGENDAS? ~ yip, that be you sah.

Point that high powered perception where it belongs please ~ not just at those that don't agree with everything you say. You have erred before and surely will again.

I personally think Casino City should make a stand somewhere lower down the pecking order aswell, rather than just going after the powers that be, ie remove such firms like Windows from their site.

A quick run through your own infopowa news Jet and they will know who is not worthy or rogue.

Cheers.

Good to see it was "just" a technical error and that CasinoCity corrected the error immediately and explained what had happened.

I just became aware of the issue on our site with respect to eCOGRA about a half hour ago, and it has now been corrected. I feel as though I have a lot of egg on my face right now because of this mistake. We generate our pages about individual casinos, and we messed up in the code. We had it right, but had commented it out so we could migrate other changes to our website without removing the code. When we removed the comments to make it live, the result was that the seal was placed on every page, rather than conditionally on the right pages. .

The fact that it went up on the Windows casino site is even worse. We've been troubled that this disreputible casino is so high on the rankings, because it shouldn't be recommended to anyone, and the high traffic ranking serves as an implicit recommendation - which is the last thing we wanted to do. This is definitely extremely embarrassing, and there are a few folks with their own agendas having a field day with it here and there. One can only say "...enjoy it whilst it lasts"

However, I believe the majority of isitors to these boards are reasonable and mature enough folks to make the same deductions here as GG and Dominique - it is clearly a webmastering foul-up which will no doubt be quickly addressed.

But it remains a serious embarrassment, no question.

Looks to me like the same template was used for each page - including some continued content and the ecogra sign was mistakenly part of this continued content.

Not a quick fix either.

Often the actual site maintenance people do not have industry knowledge - they are experts in the webmaster field, not gaming. These things happen.

I want to congratulate casino city for their guts and determination shown by filing this suit.

It will make things a lot better for players, casinos, webmasters and the industry in general, not to mention plain old freedom of speech. We have seen our rights being slowly eroded in the US lately - finally a move in the right direction.

Okay. Seems to be a screw-up as every casino listed has eCogra accreditation. Probably some slack webmaster. On the main listings page I cited their information is correct but when you go the casino page you see the eCogra seal. Most embarrassing.

Ecogra must be a decent addition to the player resolution services that exist on the net today.

Apart from that no comment.

As for your court case ~ good luck and I wish you well.

However, no amount of good luck messages and get well cards are gonna help win you anything if the level of error like putting Windows Casino up as Ecogra certified is the norm for your firm.

I don't see much discussion of eCOGRA on the boards here lately, but I've feel that what they are trying to do is important for the industry, and that they are going about it as best as is possible. I share with you below a joint press release Casino City issued today with eCOGRA outlining how we are trying to support them in their effort to help the industry through self-regulation. If you want to see what we have done, isit Online.CasinoCity.com. You will see how we have tagged Casino-on-Net as being eCOGRA approved. If you click on the icon, you will see the list of eCOGRA approved casinos ranked in order of their popularity. I'm curious about what others think of eCOGRA these days.
