It is indeed quite decent

Sure, but there's not many re-launching or startup casinos with new signup bonuses around

Sticky bonus or not, I'd say it was a pretty decent offer. And you don't have to worry about getting paid, here you will get paid and quickly too.
PS. There is a larger Acropolis bonus available elsewhere if you look around.
<edit should be obvious, I left out a word!>

Yeah, it's "sticky" aka non withdrawable bonus, but the wagering requirements are low (only 6x bonus+deposit)... Originally I deposited $100, got $100 bonus.
So what I did was wager it all on two hands of blackjack... Lost one, won other one... Then had a push and a win, so ended up with $100 on top... Played it out until the end with $5 hands and and ended up winning $120 ($320 final balance). They paid fast and without any hassles. Not too bad I'd say
By the way - the maximum bonus amount is $200.
Quote:
This offer is a 100% match bonus up to a total of $200 in play bonus chips and is only available on the first deposit made by new players at Acropolis Casinos.
The Deposit + Bonus must be wagered 6 (six) times before a cash-out will be permitted.
E.g. If you deposit $200 you will receive $200 in bonus chips. You must wager $2400 ($400 x 6) before you can cash-out

Overall worth a try, and the signup bonus is pretty sweet.
The sign up bonus was way better before the switch, it is a stick bonus now, it is junk.

Like many, I'm not much of a Playtech fan, but have always heard good things about the Stanley Leisure group. That might be enough to get me to check out this casino, plus the words of recommendation here. Perhaps I'll sign up in the next few days and let everyone know my experience.

I do miss their old software and their old payout speed.
If I wanted to play Playtech I would go Kiwi or Mapau. 48 hrs payout -2.5 times faster than Acropolis.

Well I can only add that I play on their Crockfords and Stanley bet casino and IMHO is about the only fair blackjack I have ever played online!!
Cashouts are NEVER an issue.
And they sent a mate of mine a portable DVD player for XMas, the git!!!
Big for the stanley group, if only all online casinos were run like this!!

bssybeep, thanks for the positive posting. Delighted you were happy, we work hard to try and make it so.
Just to clarify Syl, we do welcome US players at www.acropoliscasinos.com. the problem we had was that we did not realise that you cannot get/use DAB digital radio in the States. Foolishly we thought that UK technology would be available anywhere, so we had to source an alternative gift - that's all.
We have not been live for long with our new Playtech software, so have not yet really marketed it much - just making sure we are used to it administratively before we take lots of traffic.

Yep - ery nice operation.
I tried the new software with the signup bonus and cashed out $850 - got it in 5 days (still too long IMO - wake up Playtech!!) without any hassles.
Support are friendly and they are a big solid company
Recommended!

I was wondering about this casino. I know they had a proprietary software and recently switched to Playtech and that it is owned by the Stanley Leisure group.
I isited their website and saw that their bonus and comps programs seem to be quite favorable and I didn't see anything about US citizens players not accepted.
But I haven't read much about it from posters. Any reason?

Thought I would try out the new Acropolis Casino, but was a little leery about the Playtech software. Well, I had a streaky session but ended up winning.
I then received their weekly drawing email and just entered, saying what the heck, and I won!! I won a nice portable radio, but it was uk only so Acropolis asked me to list some items I may like. I've been wanting some dvd sets and half-life 2 so I listed some of the items and Acropolis sent me almost everything on the list! Overnight even! Throughout the process they answered their emails within 1-2 minutes.
That was really nice of the Stanley group and I really appreciated it.
