I had a problem with carnival casino are they related. They denied my withdraw request when I specifically asked for the bonus terms and I was told 20x before the withdraw and then they said after denying the withdraw it was 99x. There is stuff about Joyland casino at Casinomeister.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/guardian_...1561508,00.html is about an example where the retailer, Dell, honoured the contract to sell obviously miscpriced items. In this case the price of extras got deducted from the price instead of added on and some people got computers at less than 1% of the true price.

There has been a lot of discussion about companies responsibilities for errors.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/articl...1759207,00.html is about mispriced items offered on the web such as £350 TVs for 49p and how the retailers managed to wriggle out. In this case it must have been pretty clear that the items were miscpriced, whereas 4% comp points is less obvious, and the companies specified, after learning from earlier mistakes, that the contract is only finalized when the goods are dispatched.

It may be useful to get some ideas of what players think would be a fair solution now that Joyland seems to be taking a more responsible attitude on this issue.
Given that the casino is unlikely to take full financial responsibility for the comp points foul-up (judging by their attempts to pass this on to the players so far) is there a case for a partial comp refund perhaps attached to a W/T as has been suggested by one poster at the other site as an improvement on paying out winnings and deposit less comp points earned during this debacle?

More complaints have come in, some intense email comms have been going on and it looks as if there is now a little more flexibility in the attitude taken by the casino in this case.
The other site has advised players that some progress is being made on this dispute, and that they should be hearing from Joyland in the near future.

More complaints have come in over the weekend, too.
Moves are afoot to contact the Antiguan licensing authorities in the absence of constructive moves by the casino in this case.

It would be interesting to know how much of that is pure winnings and how much is comp points, but it is clear that substantial amounts of money are involved.

There are some interesting precedents surfacing regarding casino screw-ups where the obligation to players has been honoured.

I've been out of town so I just had a chance to review this thread. Still sounds like BS to me from Joyland. They specifically advertised a "High Roller" bonus and it even says "comp point rates depends on your VIP level". They ran this promotion without clearly thinking it through, it seems to me. It was not a glitch since while I was playing they adjusted comp points so instead of 100 points = $1 it was 150 = $1. I guess I will be filing a PAB with CM.

Several aggrieved players have submitted requests for a review of their accounts to Joyland in terms of this latest statement, and have received a better deal.
It's not the best solution imo, because the casino is still insisting on removing comp point rewards, but they have at least received their winnings and are better off than they were.

Hopefully it works out right for those players who weren't abusing the situation.

Well, it looks as if there might have been some movement after all! Check out the following Joyland statement - particularly the allegations of abuse and perhaps more importantly an offer for any player who feels badly served in this matter to submit his or her details for a review of his or her case by the casino.
To All Joyland players participating in forums and all players in general.
I have read all of this thread and was keeping track on your replays and complaints. I hope this will be an answer to all of those.
A few weeks ago, Joyland casino had a problem, which we couldn't quite trace, until this situation. The problem was that our comp points system had a problem with calculating the amount of comp points per wager, crediting more then $1 to a $10 bet. This is unreasonable.
On August 7th we have received a few e-mails from concerned players, explaining us the situation. Those players were pointing out, that it looks like there is a bug in the softwar... | | Read Entire Entry |

These solutions are all alid and have been suggested, but seem to have fallen on deaf ears. Joyland has been urged to revisit this dispute and take a more careful and considered look at its rulings - that does not seem to be happening.

I think the minimum should be the following:
1. Reverse all genuinely abusive transactions such as covering all numbers in roulette, whose only purpose was to accummulate comp points.
2. Recalculate comp points at the correct rate.
3. Pay winners, refund the deposits of losers.

I regret that I have to report that after four days of exchanging iews with both Joyland and Playtech managements there has thus far been no useful progress on this matter.
Joyland is adamant that the only players penalised were taking blatant advantage of their comp point miscalculation, and they have not shifted a millimetre from their position posted earlier.
I would therefore urge players directly affected by this to consider what action they intend taking in the immediate future.
Using the Playtech disputes channel would not appear to be a iable option in this particular Joyland case, as in my personal assessment the management there would appear to be supporting the casino.
I would therefore suggest that PABs to Bryan at the other site (he has had extensive dealings with Playtech in the past and is probably best equipped to take this onward) is the best way forward. Bryan will hopefully be able to achieve a better result with these people than I have.

Thanks for keeping this on topic, GM.
The thread over at the other site has some ery knowledgeable and reasoned arguments that support your iew here that these disqualifications were not justified.
It would increasingly appear that a blanket disqualification on winners was imposed rather than the *comp point abusers on no risk games* the casino is claiming to have targeted in their disqualifications, which are in any case highly questionable imo. I doubt that their attempt to get away with this by merely returning deposits will succeed.
Tampering with the transaction records is also being widely condemned.

Here's an official response from Joyland:
To all Joyland Casino players ,
In response to the CasinoMeister forum posts, we trust the following explanation will clear up everybody's questions and confusion.
The main issue revolves around the fact that there was a mismatch in the way comp points were calculated.
We reviewed the players who played at Joyland Casino and the Casino management decided to cut the winnings of players who were seen to be abusers of the system. These "abusers" were the people who saw the failure in the system and played non-risky games in order to accumulate as many comp points as possible. Joyland's fraud department then refunded the initial deposits of all those players and decided to call each one of them personally.
All players that play at Joyland Casino have to agree with the terms and conditions prior to playing where it states that the Casino Management is able to make decisions such as this. If you wish to re-read t... | | Read Entire Entry |

WTF here is the reply I got from Playtech.
Dear xxxxxx,
Thank you for taking the time to fill in the player inquiry form.
A customer support representative of Joyland casino should call you during this week in order to better explain the situation to you.
Please do not hesitate to contact me in the case you do not hear from the casino, or if you need further assistance.

I've used a few private addresses I have for Playtech to try and get a reaction from them to this calamitous situation, drawing their attention to the content of this thread.
I've received a response from the marketing exec at Playtech, Iris Toledano who is also responsible for the disputes channel.
She assures players that she is aware of this Joyland problem and the threads here and elsewhere regarding the complaints, and says she is working closely with the casino in order to resolve each and every complaint they receive (either directly from the player, or through Playtech and the forums).
Apparently the reason for these hassles and complaints is that "....this casino was purchased by another operation and their terms and conditions are not identical to the T&C of the previous owner." I have pointed out that this still does not address the question of disqualified winnings due to a comp calculation screw-up and hope to obtain further input from her on t... | | Read Entire Entry |
