Bruce Hamilton is correct in general.

You may be able to accomplish your goal if you deposit by Firepay at a casino where you have previous losses. Then you can probably withdraw by the method used in your previous deposits.

Most casinos have a policy of paying your deposit amount back to the deposit account, so your depost will be returned to you ia Firepay. Your winnings above that will be paid to your preferred withdrawal method, if you've selected one, or to your deposit account.

I'm Canadian and have a FirePay account but I have no bank account linked to it, only my credit card that was used to fund the account. I have never made any withdrawals and have in fact topped it up significantly using the money generated and received by check.

It provides an online source of funds that theoretically should slowly decline due to losses, since only deposits and not winnings are returned to the card. Avoiding withdrawals means I have no currency exchange losses, other than keeping a US $ account long term.

My understanding is that upon withdrawal I would get a check or maybe bank wire converted into CAN $.

Thanks all.

Have I been completely dull here and not read the firepay site info correctly? I got the following e-mail from them this morning:

Dear *******,

Forgive me if I am incorrect, but I believe that you are trying to register your checking account to your FirePay account. Unfortunately it is not possible to fund your FirePay account using a British checking account. In order to use this feature, you must have an US dollar bank account on with an American bank on American soil.

If this is not the case, please advise us. Thank you for your inquiry.

I didn't know this was the case. How of non-US players got around this?

I read at one casino cashier that Mastercard will no longer fund stored alue internet accounts. I guess they don't care whether you gamble or not, they won't fund the account.

I would recommend being truthful, that way you are less likely to encounter possible negative consequences later. By that I mean lying is essentially fraudulent and so could somehow possibly be used to confiscate your funds.

FYI FirePay is Canadian, with headquarters in Montreal, and so is not in US jurisdiction. As you are in the UK and can legally gamble from your location I see no reason to answer incorrectly.

I've never had any fees charged by Firepay; altho I pay a commission if putting funds into Paypal ia card.

No repercussions answering yes to query (funds used for gambling?) for me so far.

Never had winnings credited to Firepay in the way that some casinos do into Paypal.

The credit card companies that don't allow online gambling(Capital One,Providian)won't allow you to register your card if you mark yes for gambling purposes,so you have to say no to use these and other cards that are anti-online gambling-once Firepay has it in their system, these card companies have no control where the money goes.I fairly sure this is how it works

There are no fees for using FirePay. However, you cannot have your winnings sent to FirePay as you can with PayPal at some online casinos. Casinos will either refund your deposit to FirePay when you cashout and send your winnings to you by cheque, courier or wire. I have found FirePay to be quick and the customer support great. Durham

1. The interpretation of the word "gambling" is a little subjective; bot yes and no can be truthful answers.

2. There are no fees for players.

I wondered the same thing, but have had no problems answering 'yes' and being able to use the funds for online gaming. It may depend on the cc company and whether or not they have restrictions on using
credit card funds for online gambling.
