Quite true. Remember Starnet? Same thing, brought five-0 down on themselves and that was the beginning of the end.

Apparently, Playshare have been aggressively marketing their white label programme to affiliates. Funny how they apparently failed to mention it to anyone else.
I checked out the site of one such, Casino Club Las Vegas.
1) There is no mention of Playshare on the homepage.
2) There is no mention of Playshare on the About Us page.
3) There is no mention of Playshare in the general terms page.
4) There is no mention of Playshare on the bonus terms page.
In short, there is no mention of Playshare anywhere on the site.
I also notice this little gem at the ery bottom of the general terms page:

No, they're not laying rules out upfront. There is no mention of the Playshare link at any but one of the sites, other than buried three pages deep in the terms. Player deposits and wins; casino says "Sorry, you have an account already, we'll keep your winnings". Player deposits and loses; casino says "Thanks ery much."
That is the problem, Damian.

It appears all the porn stuff has been removed from the casino complained of.
All poker room "skins" that link to the same place are white labels so what? So long as they have great bonuses and the games are fair and they pay on time, who cares?
Playboy Casino has a naked woman theme what do you say?
Only people blow all their monthly gambling allowance and got nothing better to do would go on and play Sherlock Holmes on something as meaningless as this.

Credits go to one of the Casinomeister gang for an efficient and hard-working exposè of some serious sleaze at the highest level: Microgaming.
"White label" casinos are a kind of hybrid affiliate / casino setup, whereby an affiliate site presents itself as a casino, with download links and everything else a casino site has, whilst maintaining normal affiliate status in a monetary sense, earning money on a profit share basis from the main casino. The reason for white labelling is to enable the casino to be marketed in as many different ways as there are white label sites, without their affiliates being limited to the marketing style of the base casino. White labelling is an entirely deceptive practice unless the concept is clearly outlined on the site, which it invariably is not. It also presents a minefield of confusion for the player, who can be misled into creating multiple accounts at the base casino as a result of unwittingly downloading the same software from multiple white lab... | | Read Entire Entry |
