I was over at a friends house yesterday playing some poker and one guy there was showing me a bunch of tricks. He was crazy with cards. Some of the stuff he showed me just blew my mind. Lol I made sure to watch him closely when it was his deal. Ended up winning about $50 that night too.

yeah thats how he does it to fool somebody in person; on TV you see him hover like 2 feet in the air in one clip - this is obviously just a camera trick.
I love magic and the mystery of it, but the internet makes it way too easy to find out how most of this stuff is done.
The stuff that really blows my mind is the dexterity some of these guys have - being able, for example, to hold a card in each hand and give them each a little flick, and have them switch spots quicker than the eye can see is incredible...

Ooh I got this one. It's a trick of the eyes. You slowly raise onto the toes of your left foot whil hiding it with your right foot. I used to be able to do it prety well. Your audience has to be standing at the perfect angle for it to work right though.

pretty amazing when you don't know how he does it though
those guys who do really incredible stuff always have a really easy way of doing the tricks
alot of it has to do with deception and distraction - making you look at what he's doing with his right hand while he slips a card in your back pocket with his left hand - they're perfect pocket pickers too
his cameramen are also involved in alot of his stuff
/me plugs her ears...
I'm not listening! I'm not listening!! It's all real, Chuck, ok?? Don't ruin it for my infantile mind! (psst..but hey, do you know how he does that levitation trick?)

I love card tricks! I do a ariation of the chriss angle one. I have someone pick a card and return it to the deck. Then I shuffle (or palm the card and have them shuffle) and return it to the top of the deck. I then secretly slip a little ring of scotch tape(that was wraped around my pinky finger the whol time) onto their card and throw the deck at the roof or a wall. This causes their card to stick and the rest of the deck to fall to the floor. Very impressive. My knowledge of slight of hand techniques also makes me VERY dangerous at the card table! Not that I would every cheat someone.

Someone should answer this question... "Criss Angel" he makes you pick a card and sign it places it back in the deck and shuffles it he even tells you to shuffle it and then he takes the deck and throws it at a window and all the cards in the deck except for the one you signed drop on the floor and the one you signed appears on the window get this it is on the other side of the window sticking to the window. How does he do it?

he uses a glide technique where he pushes the bottom card back, pulls your card out instead (your card would be on top of that card) and continues with the trick, your card is probably the second from the bottom, so he pushes the bottom card back (glides), pulls your card out (you think it's really the bottom one) and puts it on the table, then when he smacks them out, the bottom cards stays (your card) and ta da.. i know how to do it :P

So my mate was showing me a card trick...
First he shuffled the cards, and then pans the cards out.
I then pick a random card, say Ace of spades.
He cuts the deck and says to put the card on top of the cut.
He then removes the other section of the deck.
The ace of spades is now on top of the deck he is using for the trick.
He puts my card somewhere near the bottom.
Shows me the bottom card, and says, "is this yours?" and it isnt..
He places that card on top, and continues this 4x
He then takes the first 4 cards from the top and places it on the table..
He shows me 1 card first, its not mine.. then the next, its not mine.. then the other 2 together, its not mine..
So far, none of them are mine!
He gathers them together and taps on the top card, and my ace of spades appears out of nowhere!
Anyone know how he did it?
