Once they think they know your trick you just throw them regularly, that usualy gets them. They'll think you did the trick and pick the wrong card.

i know a ersion of 3 card monte that has always worked against anyone except the only problem is that its a slight movement that switches the cards and once i tell them how i do it they get it right everytime
ive never had people bet money on it but it always works up until i tell them the secret but im pretty sure its not done the same way that professionals do it

Lol a wise choice. Can't wait till I can go to egas, still a couple years short of 21. Whenever we play poker at my house I always use monte to win a few easy chips off people before we start the game. The beauty of the game is that if you just pick a random card its an eaven bet because it pays 2to1 if you win. But people think they can gain an advantage by watching you throw the cards, which actualy puts them at a great disadvantage.

Haven't seen the monte game, but twice saw some people playing the Shell Game on the back of a public transportation bus on the Las Vegas Strip. They were really good - had several confederates, different genders and ages. Saw them sucker a few women one time. I was tempted to play dumb and see if I could get a $20 bill out of them, but then decided to stay uninvolved.

Anyone else here know how to throw the cards for 3 card monte? Or perhaps a better question, has anyone ever been on the other end of things and placed a bet on 3 card monte?
