yeah i love the game.. my older brother showed me the game when i was younger.. he started taking me to bars.. man we took a lot of peoples money.. i was the only 12 yr old i know to be walkin around with a wad from Euchre.

Yeah same here, now i go to pogo instead of yahoo.. but at both places i have expert rating... i wish full tilt or Pokerstars offered euchre.. i would gamble on euchre all day...!

I am from small-town Wisconsin and it is basically a requirement to know how to play Euchre to stay a part of the family.
I go through phases where I play a ton on Yahoo and then don't play for a long time. I was surprised at the amount of Australians I have played with. I always thought it was just a small-town Midwesterner game.

I still play in euchre leagues at yahoo. What leagues were u a td in? Still always a fun time and if your frustrated with the freerolls you can always go play reverse .

I love Euchre! My friends and I from the school I used to work at would get together occasionally and have Euchre tournaments. I don't get the chance to play much at all anymore, but I'll always play when the opportunity comes up!

i used to get fed playing euchre lol. My screen saver on my phone for the longest time was the pic of a perfect "alone" hand i caught that unfortunately didnt make trump lol. jjat and an off ace

But yeah, it never occurred to me growing up that Euchre wasn't just another "go-fish" card game that everyone knew how to play :P And it wasn't even that long ago that I figured out nobody else had heard of this game!

I've been playing Euchre since I was 9. I love it, spades isn't bad either. But if I had to pick only one card game it would be hold'em poker.

I also grew up playing euchre. Also spades, hearts, and the game I still have to have a cheat sheet for, bridge. Imagine being a teenager explaing to my friends that I played bridge the night before. A fount of excitement, I was. It was kinda cool though having three generations of my family sitting around the table playing cards. Tell you one thing though, my grandma did not like to lose!!! The one game we never played was poker. Probably explains my fascination........

Now that's the first I've seen euchre mentioned in a poker forum. I've played that game for at least 30 years. Freeroll euchre tournaments, that would be something I'd get into for sure. I can play some euchre now, I could rake in some bucks with that I bet. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with it like you sound to be, but I've played it for a long time. Like backgammon, now I've seen that mentioned in a few forums. I know that one real real good too. I'm working on trying to get a backgammon site to have freerolls. Do you know that game? Euchre, backgammon and poker are my favorites, oh yeah and pool, all these I have at least 30 years of experience in. Poker the most favorite tho, I'm just more obsessed with the online Texas Hold'em now, that is newer to me. Never played it before at all, I'm used to dealers choice at home with family and friends.

I just learned the game about a month ago. Great game, im not the best at it though. None of my friends know how to play so I never realy play it. My dad plays on his break at work, usualy wins enough to buy lunch lol.
