not stupid at all, they are trying to make money, so if they can put the odds in their own favor, then why not?

I have overcome the odds at my local casino. They run a pool tourney every Saturday and part of the promotion is a $10 match play at the tables. I play 1 hand with the match play and quit win or lose. If I lose, I lose $10. If I win, I win $20. I normally don't play 21 but make an exception for the free money.

1. There are still the occassional blackjack games available in casinos that use one deck (albeit on an indian reservation, not a main stream casino).
2. It is possible to overcome teh house advantage in blackjack.

Two friends went to the casino together to play some blackjack. Will say thier names are Bob and Tom. Bob said who's ever ahead at the end of the night, buys the other breakfest. Good Deal. Bob takes the first seat next to the dealer and Tom the last. Tom was doing pretty good, and decided to start taking some risk, he took the dealers bust card like 4 or 5 times causing Bob to lose what should of been winning hands for both of them. Bob has no chips left and Tom is still doing really good. He is up about 200. Bob waits by the bar having a drink, when Tom finally comes over and tells Bob he just lost his whole stack. Tom was pissed at Bob and said a good friend would have told me to walk away when I was ahead. Bob replied, A good friend would have known breakfest was 3 hours ago.
The point of the story which is based on true facts is dont play poker with your friends.
