i have a real talent for blowing bankrolls on blackjack.
i try to steer clear of it now. but after a bad beat in poker or something, i would want to make it back real fast, and ofcourse this was the running deep into the morning by this time so i was tired as hell and had poor judgement. boom bankroll gone. or takin huge chunks out. sometimes obviously i would make money, but more often than not i would go to bed wondering why the hell i risked so much, even if i won a little. you get a huge adrenaline rush from your bankroll depending on a few cards here and there.

Card counting is not the least bit affected by the number of decks because you can keep track of high, mid, and low cards in a ratio system. I've seen several TV specials about breaking egas on blackjack. But, honestly, its not worth the time and effort imo.

I would never play blackjack online. The odds are against you in the casino. I cannot imagine they would be any better online, although a friend of mine recently claimed to be up 13 million dollars playing online blackjack, only to donk it all back in three days time. Oh course, he has known to exaggerate a bit. If I were up 13 million, I would at least buy a clock radio or something.
Not true. If he started to gain serious money by ariance being on his side, the client would block his Blackjack (blackjack, you perv). They have done for many people. Plus, donking 13 millions in three days, with a cap on the amount you can bet on any hand (1k ?), is ridiculous.

When I was a kid growing up I learned how to play blackjack using my green army men for betting, and that was my first form of some type of casino game. I learned counting cards that way and other cool little rules to go along with it. Unfortunately, I have forgotten all those little rules. Maybe I will start playing blackjack on Ultimatebet....?

This is one thing i need to start steering away from. I have a big Tri-Card poker problem on bodog. Cant stay away. Ever since i got stupid lucky about a year ago, went in with $30 and turned it into $450 in about 20 mins. Then proceeded to BLOW IT ALL! Now ill go in with some luck, come away with $100 extra and then lose it all again. I should just stick with holdem. Here was the last one, talk about kicking myself... Steer clear of the online flash casinos, i have some scary stories. Oh, except for the $191 at the top, that was from holdem. They get me every time...

LOL @ people thinking blackjack is 50/50 using basic strategy online. The house has the edge (albeit minuscule) everytime so the wins you get are from ariance alone. You can get an edge (over the house) that is pretty favorable by counting cards in single deck, but the more decks you add, the less you can get an edge over the house and the more you only diminish this edge until you are basically flipping a lopsided coin. There's also no guarantee online Blackjack isn't rigged.
But yeah, Blackjack can be fun live if you use basic strategy since unless you play real bad, it can take some time to bust and you get drinks, comps + entertainement. I personnaly don't like it much unless I'm with the right crowd (friends): too much degens spending their paychecks around me make me miserable so the few times I went to the casino, I made sure to go at the end of the month to avoid the welfare crowd. Sad.
OP: Nice run, now stop.

Blackjack is the way to go if you use right strategies and what not. Played $5 blackjack at the Gold Coast in egas for about 4 hours and walked away with a little over $500, but quickly lost that and more in craps...... should've stuck to blackjack

If a blackjack player is using solid basic strategy, the odds of actually getting a run like you did are pretty good. You will find that an autoplayer like that will run 50/50 most of the time.

Nice run.
Once in Vegas, I drove into town with my favorite babe, went into MGM with $40, playing Blackjack, got to $140 in about 5 minutes, walked across the stree, did the same, across the street again, same, last corner there, same. Drove down the block, and repeated at 3 more casinos. Then I lost my 40.
Up $660 in about 2 hours.
Favorite babe had been losing till the time I lost, when she started winning.
We did real well that weekend, and I figure Vegas has me pegged as owing them money. I don't go to Vegas anymore.

Today i wanted a break from poker, so i put $25 on poker.com to play some casino games. I lost $10 playing ideo poker and roulette, so i headed to blackjack.
At poker.com you can put blackjack on auto play. I looked at the strategy guide they would use and it looked ok to me so i turned it on. I put it on quit when i lose $15 (which was all i had left) and left it running. Well it just didn't stop going up!! I watched in amazement as it went all the way up to $100, at That point i started betting $4. It went all the way up to $200 then back down to $170 pretty quickly so i stopped.
Later i turned it back on again, it went down to $140 so i quit and i haven't played it since.
I don't know much about blackjack, but i must of got pretty lucky to get that far only betting $2 and $4 and using basic strategy.
