When the flop comes. The first thing to do is look at the board . Figure out what you have. Figure out what the Best possible hands possible are. Than count your outs.
Are there flush draws or straight draws out there etc.
What are the odds of catching a card that will give you the best hand.
If you have Q,J Suited Hearts
Flop comes 10 hearts,9 hearts, 3 clubs
Your out are any heart, K, 8, Q, J. (21 Outs)
You have a 68% chance of catching your card with 2 cards to come
and a 48% chance with 1 card to come.

The percentage is equal to the # of outs divided by # of unseen cards (including those dealt to your opponent/s) multiplied by 100.
For example if you are on a flush draw you have 9 outs and the # of unseen cards = 46.
So the likely hood of hitting your flush is (9/46) x 100 = 20%
This means you will make the flush 20% of the time and not make it 80% of the time. So is a ratio of 20:80 which is equal to 1:4, hope this is not too confusing, let me know if this makes not sence to you.

if your asking what i think your asking then its like this you divide the # of outs you have by the # of remaining unseen cards(including those dealt to your opponent/s).then subtract one, this is your percentage on the turn double that for your percentage on the turn and river.the quick dummies way is to multiply your outs by 4.(its called the rule of 4 or something).for the river you would multiply by 2.im a math retard but i think thats it.

If you are serious about learning poker and really want to learn how to calculate odds, outs, and percentages, perhaps you should consider getting Texas Calculatem The software is ery good for learning with (just do not use it as a crutch, use it as you need to until such time that you are comfortable with your skill)

If the board is paired then someone can have a full house, if it isn't and you have the nut flush then bet all you like.
If its paired and someone is coming back at you then consider they have a boat

Like this? You hold Ace Queen and the board is Ace Ten Seven.. There are two more aces and three more queens that can help your hand now. That makes five outs, not counting runner-runner straights and flushes and such. Is this right?

How do you quickly calculate all the possible outs when determining your position in a hand? I'm not a math brain so I have a hard time figuring out what all the possibilities could be. Too often I can have the best possible flush on the board but can't see the forest for the trees when I get beat by a FH. Any input on this?
Any advice will be taken as helpful.
Thanks,
Melz
