The more players, the tighter you have to be... if you have a lot of weak, passive players, though, then you may have a lot of limpers into a pot, and then you can play more of the speculative hands (e.g. suited connectors) which either hit big or miss completely. In some ways it's possibly worth looking more at how you change the alue of particular holdings post-flop - Top Pair, Top Kicker is less likely to be good enough if there are more people in the pot, as there's a higher chance that a straight, flush, trips or two pair will have hit. Equally, though, good draws may be more worth chasing because you'll have better pot odds for chasing... although you also have a little more need to consider whether you're chasing the nut hand - chasing a straight when the cards you need could make someone else a higher straight, or chasing a weak flush, are more risky with more players.
Hence, while you to some extent may need to play tighter, there are some other hands which may be more worth playing than t...

The more players there are at a table, logically the tighter you need to be as the chance that premium hands are out are greater. The fact that your opponents are donks just reinforces this - play tight and alue bet them to death.

Be prepared for a lot of ariance though.

I am going to be participating in a cash game tonight at my bosses house which will include 12 players!.. It's a $60 buy in with $.50 and $1.00 blinds.. I know that is only 60BB's but that's somewhat irrevelant to this post.. My question for you is with 12 players at the table nearly half the deck will be gone before we even see a flop; so should I tighten up my game or loosen it up?.. Several of the players involved in the game are solid, several are total fish and calling stations, and several are unknown to me as of now.. This is the first time I've ever played at such at a full table and I was curious as to if anyone out there had ever been involved in a game with this many players at the same table and how they played..Thanks in advances guys and girls!
