Sorry, sorry. I like 78s and 89s a lot, which of course is not unusual. And I seem to make most of my sets with pocket 7s. Also, DEUCES NEVER LOSES

LOL! Yeah I know what you mean with the J but then we could say the samething with the Q, alot of it I guess is a gut feeling at that moment in a given situation, but I still like it. Alot of people play A with anything small I find J as a kicker to work most times. So I guess yeah I consider all 3 of those hands premium.

no i meant do you consider them 3 hands as premium hands. I dont mind AQ and AK, but AJ is dangerous in certain situations.

Your right i'm a premium player, but it is safe and as long as my bankroll keeps climbing I must be doing something right. I did forget to include pocket pairs, 84o suited connectors etc... it all depends on the situation, blinds, how many people in etc....

I honestly play 84 whenever I can, purely for the flop, ie 88x/44x or 567x.
As for other hands, QT sooted is another favourite. And 22 when a 2 flops is so well disguised.

I'm a sucker for JTs - although it's a pretty good hand. I'll often raise with it from any position as first into the pot. If I'm calling a raise it depends on position and other action so far.

Some of my favourite hands has to be either pocket 9's, 9-8(spades if possible) or 10-9 and ofcourse AA(at times)
Reasons for liking these hands like 9-8 spades is probably because of watching Rounders lol, thats what i think anyway, it just seems to hit alot of flops and ive flopped afew straights with it and the same with 10-9 aswell. Pocket 9's always seem to hit trips on the flop for me!

Hello all.
Do any of you guys have pocket cards they always play that are NOT a premium hand???
For example, I have become attached to Q2. I don`t always play it, but the amount of times it hits the flop seems to be unusual!!! (I know it is because I am looking out for it - I probably don`t notice the times when I lay it down!!!)
Also, do u guys think that it could be put into your strategy to always play a certain `poor` hand? Could u imagine if I played Q2 in any position and most of the time I was happy to call a raise of say 3 times bb. If I won people would think I was mad, if I lost and showed it they would think I was mad!!!
What do you all think. If you have any examples of the pros doing this tell me.
Thanks guys
