pot odds are not everything in poker i have never bothered to learn them as a mathmatical equation because if you play by pure maths ittakes away from your overall game. I play purely based on playing the player and the situation and i am a winning player but i suppose each to their own

Well, I'll share that at most times, it's crazy to do so, especially in a tournament, which is all I play. If I need to chase, it usually means that I'm short stacked in the late stages, and it's an all or nothing proposition, and pot odds become irrelevant at that point.

Yep. I put that choice on there for you, Freak. Maybe you'll get a Border's gift card from Santa. You can ask them at Border's if the storytime lady could put down the fairy tales book for a while and read Sklansky to you.

1) When I have the right implied odds! IE, if the pot is really small but I think I might be able to extract a lot more if I hit. Usually this is early in MTTs.
2) When I am on tilt of some kind. It's one of the signs I use to stop myself from playing.
3) When I am playing in a game just for a lark. Sometimes before or during a big tourney, I'll enter a $3 turbo SNG just to get the impatience out of my system. I also do this to sort out tilt when I get a few bad beats.
... Unfortunately, I think sometimes I might be guilty of playing that way in the CC SNGs, so I bet lots of the people around here have notes on me that say "maniac" "doesn't seem to understand either the rules of poker or how to count", etc!

You're asking how often I call against the pot odds - like Combuboom, the answer is I do when I'm getting the right implied odds. The pot odds are really only for the next card, so if I'm on a flush draw, pot odds say 4:1. But I'm calling a half pot bet on the flop which only gives me 3:1 in terms of pot odds. I called a smallish bet on the Turn yesterday with just a gutshot because I reckoned I'd stack my opponent if I hit (I didn't), despite needing 10:1 according to the pot odds.
So my answer is... often. (BTW it's often because I know what I'm doing, not because I'm loose!)

Im going to say ery ery seldom, never in a ring game. Occasionally in a tournament situation, when i KNOW im behind but semi committed to the hand, and in a situation where accumulating chips is critical. Apart from that no, never. (unless of course im drunk, then always )

Nope, anything. Call, raise, check-raise. If you raise, you still risk that the other guy may have a better hand whether it be 1st to bet, last, or middle. Sure, there's implied odds involved in some situations. But how often do you go against the odds ANYTIME as a whole?

I have two possible answers for this. The first is "I don't." If I don't think I have the odds for it, I don't call.
The second, which is more honest, is "when I play for too long and become a tilt-monkey." It's not actually in conflict with the first answer, it's just that when I go on tilt I tend to drastically overcount my outs, so I'm not actually chasing against the odds I think I have; I just happen to be wrong more often.
