Right, so before you do, what say we stop it short. You can search the forum if you'd like to read up on the "poker's rigged" topic.

Oh dear. You may regret starting another "Poker is rigged" discussion. There have been several. This is a good example:

You risk severe ridicule because most of the regulars here (which includes some ery experienced players) don`t believe a word of it.

It's always possible for a site to be corrupt but I would say that if so they are probably only as corrupt as Brick and Mortar casinos...enough for the house to get an advantage but not enough for a single player to notice.

Thank you ery much for providing your insights. This has been a sticking point for many of my friends. They believe that the ability to manipulate the play is too easy online, and so they are not comfortable risking their monies. My basic feeling has always been that online play is fair, but figured I'd look for some positive reinforcement to that theory.

i to have read a litte on the algoriths used for card shuffling and they seem to have sorted out a flaw in the early ones which used to repeats patterns, a piece of software could predict the cards before they were dealt...
Makes you wonder thou...

I agree it sucks some times but I would be shocked if it was rigged. People would get their butts handed to them in court. I did hear about a guy who emailed Stars complaing of his bad beats etc. and then went on to win 55,000 but that could be a BS story.

Hello all,
Just thought I would drop a note regarding online play in general. While I am fairly new to poker anyway, my experience online has consistently been that bad beats abound moreso online than in real play.
I always read about the dealing algorithms, and fairness. However, is it possible that there actually are redistribution mechanisms in play at most online sites? I have certainly read a bit on this subject, but wondered if anyone here was in the know. Perhaps there is a programmer amongst us?
More than likely, my play is just bad. But I'd like to win a little more than I do, and if I could recognize patterned betting situations, I suspect I would be a bit better off. Anyway, seriously looking for any relevent feedback here.
Thanks,
Sheldon
