I believe the affiliate is only responsible for a portion of the signup bonus, while empire is responsible for the rest. For instance, empire has a standard signup bonus of $100, so, the affiliate may only be on the hook for $400, or a little less if he gets so many to sign up (maybe only $300 to $350).
Even at $400, 3200 raked hands woud be break even and this puts him close. As soon as there is a reload offer for these accounts and people played the raked hands to get them, he at least breaks even. I don't think the affiliate is making a whole lot, but I don't think he is getting killed either. Either way, I don't see this one lasting much longer.
