I try to be right in between the average stack and the biggest stack. If you have too many people play you differently and obviously you don't want to be below average.

I really wouldnt worry about having so much at any period. Your goal is to survive, don't feel pressured into achieving so much by a certain time.
I like to start making a few steals and moves by the time the blinds get to 50/100 or 100/200. If you havent played many hands by then, the nicking the blinds at this time will certainly help.
Although, getting dealt AA in the 1st round is always tasty!! Remember, you can't win a MTT in the early stages, but you can lose it.

Hello, this might be of help.
MTT strategy thoughts - Measuring your stack
Twice the starting stack at the end of the first hour is usually decent in normal stack, non-turbos.

Hey guys, here over the last month or so i've move into the mysterious world of MTTs..I've had some marginal success but nothing to brag about. My question is what is a reasonable goal for my chip stack by the end of round one(I know as many as possible...LOL) 2X..3X starting chip stack? I been doing alot of reading and haven't really read much on this and was hoping some one could advise. Thanks T.
