Like switch said, if the blinds are just traveling from one stack to the other, start playing a bit more aggressive and bring those stacks over to yourself. You don't have to play big hands but you can try to get some extra chips for the final table, which never hurts.

If the game bores you, maybe you ought to find another hobby.

One thing that I like to do since I don't multi-table is to read poker books while playing. It gives me a chance to do a lot of poker reading, fills the time but also helps me to stay focused on what I am doing.

One thing though is I don't read them the first time this way, it usually rereads and skimming or key points that I feel i need to touch on.

It works for me anyway.

If chips are moving around the talbe with noone being knocked out, up your aggression level, and take the easy chips that are being offered up

For me it is all about the right frame of mind when sitting down to play. If I know i have to be somewhere in an hour or two or I should be doing something else, I'll lose focus, try to press, and usually lose.
I need to know that it is going to take a long time to play and that there will be long periods of time of inactivity. I find that as long as I'm prepared for it ahead of time, so when it happens, I am not surprised.

For the most part it does for me too but in a 1000 dollar tourney in the top 20 of the last 75 where blinds are gonna be about 3 and 6,000 or 5 and 10,000 I can't stay away from it. The best i have ever done in a 1000 dollar tourney was like 7th place for like 35.00. I find it happening in live games too. So even if I do learn to control it i know it'll show all over me!!

Click the sit out button and leave. Coast into the money.

Try this exercise for 2 weeks, do it with Play Money. Do SnG's, fold every hand. EVERY HAND, regardless. DO NOT click the away button. Force yourself to sit and analyze the game. Do not decide to get into the action. The exercise is meant to help you break a bad habit. Learn that there is as much action in analysis as there is in participation. It may not be as emotional, but it is more aluable.
