Both are extremely well laid out and easy to read. What books are in you guys' arsenals? Why are they your favorites? I'm looking for some new reads. My game has dramatically improved since becoming a student of the game rather than just a player.

Mate, if I would like to buy on of them which one do you recommend more? And what are the prices of both books?

I've got a couple of books, but I'm in no way qualified to say whether they're any good.

I've heard great things about Doyle Brunson's books though. Was checking out Super System 2 yesterday. Pricey, but seemed to have a lot of good, solid info in it.

lol. I do have one like that. It's called "Learn to Win at Texas Hold 'em Poker FOR 5 BUCKS" by Mark Strahan. It's about 50 pages long, and I'm tellin' you, there's not a waisted sentence in it. I have both Harrington Vol's (gett'em Diablo) I got Sklansky's HOLD 'EM POKER 1976, I've even got Phil Gordons "Novel" (a whopping good read), but that cheapo throw-a-way is the best 5 bucks I ever spent.

the only poker resources i have are this site, which is ery helpful learning from you more seasoned players' experiences
but other than that...'prolessons' fulltilt emails lol and other crappier little things

man i really gotta hit up my local bookstore and clear it out of all its poker books...

i really am trying to get my hands on Supersystem 1&2 and some hellmuth books...despite the fact that i hate the guy, he knows his poker

i mean i'm sure i've heard him say at least every WSOP after a bad beat:
"hmm...it's a good thing i'm such a good poker player...wow can't believe you called with that"

and ive also heard from cash game players that they found it ery helpful, strategy-wise, as well...

For a newbie, i would recommend the DVDs of Howard Lederer (if you are really a newbie, with no idea of the game). Then, practice some months and then read "Hold em Poker For Advanced Players By Sklansky and Malmuth", i like it ery much. Of course keep reading as much books as you can. Try every book, because all of them have some details that can be really usefull to improve your game.

Internet texas holdem is a good one for players starting out online. As is low limit holdem by lee jones.

Supersystem had some good stuff, I should get the second one soon enough.

Read more than one, compare them, and take things from each one. The two I first posted are great. SuperSystem by Doyle Brunson is kind of dated but great also. There are bits to be learned from each one individually. Read, read, read is my advice.
