I own Phil's book.. He even re-wrote that book and added some more to it.
It is ery easy to read and understand. He even mentions that he hopes he might see you at the final table at the WSOP.

That be a feat in itself.. Nice to isualize.. sitting there with the top players around the world. Yet I have a long way to go before this would ever happen.

Have bought myself Mr Brunsons and Sklansys' although yet to get all the way through them - eeeh they're big you know .

Phil Helmuths is also supposed to be rather well written - i suppose it is all down to what area of the game you want improve, tournies etc or basic game play.

Its only once your hooked do you realise there are many levels and styles of playing such a simple little game .

I've got Harrington's 1&2 - I'll lend em to you if I can have yours when you've finished!

I've read Poker for Dummies and 52 Tips (in fact, apart from Harrington, they're the only books I have read - The theory of poker + Super system 2 are over £20 in shops in UK ($35). Poker for Dummies is actually quite good (for beginners obviously!) but I didn't really get much out of the other one.

It really depends on their criterias for rating, but most of the books I'd expect to find at the top ten are there, I guess.

The books that would possibly not belong - and I say this because I wouldn't know - are the ones I haven't read (Krieger's, Reuben's, Schulman's), but unless they're all really good reads, I could see Schoonmaker's "Psychology of Poker" as being one of my top 10. I've recommended this book before, and I'll do it again: It brings a perspective on poker that I think is well worth the time. Plus, it's the best written book on poker I've read, when it comes to format and language - it's easy to read and easy to digest.
