i played the 1 game for all my money and i lost last night.

I played again today and top 3 all but one time.

Built a little higher to 61c. ( and played only 5 or six games- record low)

going for the 50c double up strategy again.

wish me luck.

yeh, that last comment is true... i keep getting dollers. lol . oh well, dollers are good.

I been mopuntain climbing today. Trying to crack everest poker is fun becuase you have the opertunaty to start from zero and raise 5c for free and enter a 4cstt. then a10c stt. etc.
Im up to 36c at the end of the day but im always breaking your cardinal rule. After i win the 4c stt and get 20c i should play the 4c games over and over to $1 then i can enter the 10cstt's. and so on etc. But it takes to long, i know im better than them, i broken this level before. So il keep playing zero buyins and get to 55c. (no point risking my 4c lol)then il play a heads up with the whole thing. But am i wrong to do this>? My whole 55c is at steak!. I dont think im wrong, becuase il win that heads up (75% o the time) and get to $1. Then il drop back to 10c stt's and try to reach $1.5. Then il take another 75% chance on the 50c heads up again if i loose im back to one doller and 10c mtt's. If i win i got $2 and ...

Incorrect. The best player in the world could go 9 SnGs without cashing, such are the wonders of ariance. If you play often enough, every single player will have a bad run, which may be no fault of their own and more due to them losing in a lot of ital coinflips, or enduring a few suckouts. I've cashed in 10 SnGs in a row before and also finished out of the money in 10 in a row before - does that make me a really good or really bad player?

...and your results are fine. Small sample size, but one thing is it looks like you're going out just in the quite money a lot (depending on payout structures). Play to win! What's the point in playing for 4 hours for a buck? When bubble time approaches you sho...

Well Dorkus is absolutely correct in his statements. As for your free roll performance I'll offer up my two cents. Your Pacific poker is some what impressive, but your Absolute play is not that good. These bring 2000 ppl to the game and 3 to 5 hundred get kicked out after the first level. If you are not aware of it the players that don't play a hand in level 1 get pulled out. This is a good thing if you ask me. Anyway, you then have another 1400 or so that will go all-in at the drop of a hat. This cuts the field to somewhere between 300 and 500 right after 1st break. Here is where you get your merit. If you have a decent game you will now be playing poker with better ppl. They still may have a couple that do dumb shit, but over all there better. From here in my book you should get into the top 100 a lot to be considered a good free roller. Then you make the money a few more times and you know you've came a long way. If you do good consistently on Absolute Poker you will have learned patience for putting...

hi there,

thanks for the reply. I do understand what your saying about the bankrole to buyin fee ratio and theory behind being able to handle the swings. But i want trying to create a strategy wherebye i would constantley win... just wanted to climb the mountain as fast as poss. I eventually lost it at $500NL on party poker in one hand and was a little annoyed so i didnt play again for a while. I would have been up to $1400 had i won that hand.

To be fair i never realey belived the 10x the buyin thing. I understand why they say it... but if i enter a $10stt and loose 9 before i win a couple im simpley not good enough, or my strategy is wrong.

Anyway... am i freeroling ok?

You were playing 5/10 and $100s with a $600 bankroll? You seem to be concerned with the wrong thing - you're worrying about your performance in these freerolls when it seems to me that your bankroll management (or lack of) is the real problem here.

Dude, deposit $50 or so again somewhere and play with it properly. Start at something like .25/.50 and the odd $5 SnG (maybe for every $5-10 you win at the rings, enter a SnG) and work your way up slowly as your bankroll grows. Playing a tournament for a sixth of your bankroll is poker suicide - it's no wonder you went broke.

Hi everyone,
i been playing again for alomost 2weeks now after a 12month break. When i last played i started with the freeroles and then gradulary worked up the confidence to deposit real money. I played for about 12moths and made small wins around the $5stt and mtts's. These wins allowed me to play in higher stakes games. $5/10 table games. $100stt's and $50mtt's consistentley over a few months but then i gave up after loosing $600 id been working on for over a month (from a $50 deposit) and gave up.
I never played for the last 12months. But now im starting again, and figured following the same strategy might be good. But im not shure if i should deposit yet or not? I played freeroles for months last time playing at 15games per day (never did too well) so how do i tell if im back into the
swing of my topp game again? I been keeping a list of positions.
Can someone who wins tell me if im doing well enough yet. The last few days results are below.

Perhaps others could contribu...
