You may want to argue your way through it with the support team up until they show you the rule book some sites may go by best to worst hand in your situation and others may do the opposite, but, it is best to contact support and DO NOT quit until they produce some kind of rule or policy they had created prior to the tourney. It may work $16 is three nights at McDonalds where I come from.

Good luck

Yes, hooba is exactly right. The actual "all-in hand" doesn't or shouldn't have anything to do with your final standing if you are knocked out the same time as someone else. It's based upon whoever started the hand with more chips--they would place higher than someone who went into the hand with less chips.

maybe I am misunderstanding the question, but i thought the rule was whoever went into the hand with the most chips finishes higher.

Jon bets 700
Frank calls allin 450
Sally calls allin 300

Jon wins and scoops the pot knocking Frank and Sally out @ once...Frank would get 2nd place b/c he had more $$ going into the hand.

i have recently noticed that when playing in tournaments and the three way allin situation occurs that some sites will place the second best hand higher in the final standings when two players are knocked out at the same time. This happened to me recently at a final table when three of us were allin and two were knocked out even although i had wagered more chips to the pot.The site in question is poker.com and it cost me $16 after being place behind the lowest stack in in the final standings because he had the second best hand.at paradise the player that contributed the most chips into the pot will be placed higher in the event of two players being knocked out at the same time.

i feel this is a fairer way to settle final standings in that situation.
