i appreciate the advice....but i was leaning more toward the GTA
toronto only has about 3 casinos (i think) that are within 3 hours drive away
and none that are downtown or even GTA
anyways what i'm really looking for is bars or 'underground' cardrooms that host freerolls or small stakes games and mini tournies
ps for anyone interested i found on... | | Read Entire Entry |

Just to forewarn you, the only ones I know of carry a minimum of 5/10, and most don't even go that low.
usually 10/20 Limit, and 1/2 or 5/5 NL.
The NL games can get pretty deepstacked quickly.
You can meet me at The FAN at Bloor and Jane Next Sunday around 5:00pm and I'll take you to the small $22 buy-in game if you like.
I have to get my GoldenTee Fix in first lol.
(The game's in a bar a few Subway stops over.)
Game Starts at 6pm. and they usually run 3 games during the night.
Anyways, I'll put a ... | | Read Entire Entry |

I live in T.O.
Next Sunday (19th), I'll meet up with you if you want a small $22 buy-in game SNG type game at a bar.
There are literally dozens of cardrooms in the GTA. (all underground of course).
If you play at Rama, BlueHeron, Niagara, Brantford or the CNE Casino, and ask around you will find many home games, undergrounds, and Bars that play real money.

Why don't you just hit the casinos?
There are 4 casinos in Edmonton to play poker. The casino closest to me has tourneys every Tuesday and Saturday and every second Sunday. They also run a huge tourney about once a month.
Tuesday - $50.00 Buy-in, $5.00 Admin Fee, No Re-buys, No Add-ons
Saturday - $100.00 Buy-in, $10.00 Admin Fee, No Re-buys, No add-ons
Sunday - $25.00 Buy-in, $5.00 Admin Fee, $5.00 Re-buys, $25.00 Add-on

Hey Chuck.
Sorry 'bout the no poker going on in your town. I have a idea to throw at ya. Why don't ya look into craigslist and post that you are looking for a watering hole with poker going on. I noticed they have a section for Toronto.
Just an idea. Good luck.

Hey guys hows it goin
sorry i don't post here too often anymore...haven't been playin poker much and find myself with nothin to contribute
anyways i live in T.O. as you may or may not know
i've been searching for cardrooms or bars that host poker games but none do really
For fellow poker-addicted Torontonians as myself: i just found out that the "PM sports bar" in the galleria mall ( Dufferin + Dupont, southwest corner ) has a poker tourney every thursday
Yea i know, it seems sheisty bar but its just a bunch of old portugese farts there.
Don't know the time, buy-in, or if its just a freeroll type thing where they give out free rounds if you win, but its the only bar i know of that does this kinda thing. I'm gonna try to make next Thursdays game so anyone who lives round here please join
also if any other ppl who live in T.O know about any bars that do the same please post here!!
