You just hit the nail on the head Chuck. This is exactly what I'm fearful of. There are times in Omaha that I'll chase the nuts even if my pot odds are slightly negative. In HE, I would never, ever, ever do that. My concern is that chasing mentality you can get in Omaha will carry over to HE. That's especially dangerous for me because I'm a ery, ery tight HE player. I guess I'll just have to really focus on the 4/2 rule when I play HE.
Thanks for the input guys!

Holdem is a power game s OH and it's drawing potential
Holdem is a game of isolation s OH community pots
Holdem is about the other person hitting/missing flops s OH is who hit it better
I actually play my best when I have 2 tables of OH8 and 2 holdem at the same time. Omaha reminds me to fear bigger hands the power of the draw and holdem reminds me to be aggressive and position matters.
For me playing both is what keeps me sharp.

i find that there's really not much difference
the biggest thing i have trouble adjusting to is the frequency of big hands you see. If I've been playing OH all day, and then switch to HE, i sometimes forget that bottom 2 pair is a ery powerful hand

I think the topic explains it all. I've been playing quite a bit of Omaha lately and am really doing well with it. I don't plan on giving it up anytime soon but I don't want to lose my ability to play Hold'em. I don't think you can just "lose" the ability to play a game but I think it's like anything else....if you don't use it, you won't be as sharp as you would be if you used it consistently. Has anyone been in my shoes?? If so, how do you keep you skills in one game or the other from slacking???
