eh. I wasn't even born before that thing was made...not a big Paul "Newman" fan huh?
...The Color of Money. Now there's a good Newman film. Cruise's best film!...they possibly pass by some poker tables...since pool and poker are like brothers...lol

i think it was the scene where one gremlin shoots the other one with a gun because he cheated. that was like 10 seconds of poker... ._.
Although not directly related to Poker, I nominate Princess Bride for fine example of "bluffing." Billy Crystal does make a reference to card playing, though.

Well, I won't say what my favorite movie is, because if you know where my signature comes from it's pretty obvious...

That was a joke right?
Shade was another good movie, it was more about the cheating then the poker though.

Rounders is the best and Maverick is good but its so so lame, it was ovious that he was going to hit a royal flush before the cards were dealt, at least in rounder he beats Teddy at the end with a 10 high straight.

I went to see Rounders as a fan of Edward Norton, and I left loving poker.
I think the second best movie is Maverick.
There just aren't a lot of movies out there about poker.

Rounders is the best.
But if you want a quirky indy movie, look for "The Big Blind". It has Scotty Nguyen and Jennifer Harman in it. It's not that good of a movie, but it's about poker!

I've seen Maverick and Rounders and a couple others, but Rounders is the movie that actually got me playing NLHE, so... Rounders it is.

I remember the scene in Leaving Las Vegas when Nicholas Cage loses his shirt with a Jack high straight flush to a James Caan's Queen high straight flush. That would suck!

Most folks just know "rounders", but as I mentioned in another post "Cincinatti Kid" with Steve McQueen as the Kid and Edward G Robinson as Lancey - the man is truly a classic.
What are some other great poker films? There must be more.
