I meant Poker Stars and Party Poker. Wow, I messed that up.

Alright, thanks for the responses. I think I will try Poker Stars since MTT's are my best game, and I'd like to play tourneys with larger fields.

I thought Everest recently changed their policy, and didn't allow US players

Right now Everest Poker has the best deal on the web I think. No matter what you deposit they offer you 100$. You unlock 1 dollar per dollar of rake. If you fold around 10 hands on a .50/1$ table you unlock the 100 easily.

Usually, if I am brand new to a smaller site, I won't make a deposit immediately. I like to feel the place out some, play in some freerolls, you know, really get lay of the land and feel for the interface. If everything jives and I read some reviews on it, then cool, I'll hang around.
I do this especially if I'm playing a new network just to get the hang of the software. Doesn't usually take ery long, but any nuggets or tricks I can find out to help me is definitely +EV when I finally decide to play there.
As to the OP's original point, however, I generally stick to the big sites, since they tend to have traffic in a wider ariety of games. Stars and Absolute were the first 2 sites I played at, then I moved on to Party (as well as their skins), Bodog, the Primas that had 5x bonuses, and Paradise Poker...although on occasion I'll play at Titan/CD Poker for certain affiliate or forum freerolls, plus the players there generally suck. And I've recently added a couple... | | Read Entire Entry |

I don't limit my play to just huge sites like Ultimatebet and stars, though. I do play some of the smaller sites. Usually, if I am brand new to a smaller site, I won't make a deposit immediately. Plus, a lot of smaller sites, while not having a lot of traffic, will have sufficient traffic to keep interest and often times most of that traffic is inexperience. So I think that there are benefits to both large and small sites.
My preference will usually depend on the particular day. Oh, one other thing I find to be fairly true...the newer, smaller sites won't us... | | Read Entire Entry |

I usually like to play the larger more established sites such as Party, Stars, Fulltilt, Paradise and sometimes Titan Poker. The reason I like these sites are because I know I probably wont have many problems with them and because there is more traffic at these sites. The more newer players the better. I also like the larger prizepool tourneys. If you can get to the final table in one then you have a nice payday coming possibly.

Hey, first post here, but have been browsing on this forum for a while now.
I noticed Pokerstars seems to be the site of choice around here, and I guess Poker Stars as well.
I currently only play on Royal Vegas, but am contemplating transfering my funds to a new site. I'm just wondering what draws you guys to Stars or why people like it better. Is it more profitable for you guys?
I'm just curious as to your opinions on arious sites, and if anyone plays on Prima sites and Pokerstars or Party I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on the differences and why you prefer the one you do. Thanks.
