After so many bad streaks, which eventually become good streaks, which in turn become bad streaks, you just have to give in and accept it for what it is: Variance

If you get titled and its hurting your play, take a break or a alium.......

What I do when I am having a run of bad luck, bad beats, and tilting may sound crazy but it works for me. I enter as many freerolls as I can and start playing like a total ass. All in on the beer hand, chase 3 card flush draws, make major calls with Motown.

I find that making all these stupid, crazy, calls in the freerolls cleanse my poker playing soul. I get tired of making crap calls and losing and I start to really hit my stride again and play my usual killer game.

I just went through a major losing funk. My bankroll went down to a negative balance. I played like a crazed fool on about 20 freerolls until I had enough. I have since redeposited $20 at Titan and my bankroll is now up to over $200.

Try doing this. It might help. At least it won't hurt you and you can go crazy for awhile.

In essence once you have a lot more tournies etc under your belt you'll gradually become less and less bothered by the bad beats, because you'll see them so often, and accept them as simply 'inevitable'. Eventually you barely notice them (well, almost )

Sorry, I could have been more clear. Welly got it just right, though. If you find yourself tilting, you should always just walk away. But as you play more, the times you'll have to walk away will become fewer.

Phil Hellmuth is kinda amazing in this sense, that despite having such a rigourous experience in playing the game, he still lets it get to him. I don't get that. It doesn't make sense how he can still be upset about these things.

I think sometimes u become anxious. U know the thing, u never catch the flop when u bet, u catch the nuts when u fold, u sit forever trying to play tight and get nothing.

I generally don`t go on tilt after a bad beat, I accept that. I sat earlier today in a SNG. First few hands like AK, AQ I didnt hit flop but other guys did major style. Then, on bb I got ATs and A8s, I only had to call twice the big blinds and the pot odds were there, but because I was catching nothing at all I fold and flop shows ATT and flush.

Once you accept that it's inevitable, it's not going to affect you much anymore. It's hard to be pissed off about the inevitable, y'know?

Some ppl say take a break, or cut down on the amount of hands you play, etc. I can understand what u mean. Thanks mate.

Hi all.

Although I am dealing with bad beats better I still feel sometimes I go on tilt.

The normal stuff, you feel the poker Gods are against u. When u get a great hand and bet u r outdrawn. When u get a decent hand that u would normally call a raise, but because you feel your luck is against u you fold and the flop would have given u the nuts, and so on.

What do u guys do to get through this???
