I only played one evening at a live casino table, and the one thing I noticed was that people played ery loose. It was 1/2 NL and I'm not kidding you, there were many times I was the only one that folded PF. I just tightened up and hammered them when I had a good starting hand and hit the flop.

Your comment made me realize that my only winning sessions there were during the days, I haven't had a winning session at night... weird? These were winning sessions were also limit games.

I'm gonna say you were at a crazy table. Next time ask the dealer for some more $1 chips. Maybe others will follow suit? Also, you have to consider you there on a weekend. I stay clear of our local casino on weekends due to all the touristy donks who like to come up and throw their money around. Try a week day next time. I'm sure you'll get a much better table.

I've played several of these online but live it was wild. First of all the casino handed everyone $5 chips with no or ery few $1 chips. So if someone wanted to raise preflop they usually raised to about $15-$30.
One guy was playing just about everyhand at whatever cost with cards you shouldn't even limp in with and would get lucky and catch two pair, although I doubled up on him when I went all in on a flush draw and he called with his pair of jacks (3 high kicker :P)
I ended up going bust because I wasnt used to the $20-$30 levels, I've only seen those raises preflop at around the $3/$6 in online games.
How do you adjust? Bring more money? I took $300. Or was I just at a crazy table, that also nee... | | Read Entire Entry |
