You're missing some facts, though. The two guys arrested were arrested for Illegal Internet SPORTS Betting operations. And, if I'm not mistaken, neither guy was arrested on a federal warrant. They were local, out of state, warrants. None of this applies at all to online poker which had nothing to do with either of these arrests.

And, for the record, if you haven't seen it in one of many other threads already, I DO blame the chickenshit lame-asses for cutting bait and running away like little wusses. They'll never see my business again.

I already cashed out at Titan, but as long as some combination of Poker Stars, Absolute Poker and/or Poker.com continue to stay open to US players then I'm going to play. I'm already on the government's no-fly list anyway, so what difference?

Hell no!!! There's always ways around these "laws." Look at file sharing. Did the copyright infringement BS stop people from doing that? Not hardly. The thing that bothers me is the sites that are running like little babies, like the US players are the plague now or something. I'm glad FT is planning on standing up for the players, cuz it doesn't seem like many other sites are or will.

Are you joking? Why does everyone keep acting like no one can play online anymore.

I just don't get it!! If you make a living playing online poker, why would you let a little thing like this latest legislation stand in your way.

Hell no I won't stop playing!!!! I know everything is just a huge ? mark at the moment but I don't see them EVER being able to outlaw online poker..This is an $80 billion a year business,it can't be and won't be stomped out that easily..And frankly,I think they would rather have a piece of the action, not wipe us out..I think what alot of people fail to see is that the bill is to take away our means of funding our accounts, not make it illegal to play poker online....But the banks weren't letting us go thru them anyway!! Soooo, its business as usual from Netteller! I'm simply not worried about the legislation completely doing us in..I'm more worried about the sites that are in a panic and dumping the US players..THAT concerns me!

I think the only answer is it depends on which sites drop US customers. Obviously if there isn't a provider, Americans can't play online. I'm hoping that Full Tilt will step up and fight (it does make sense considering the large number of pros they have relationships with). If not them then someone so we can continue to play. It goes without saying it's in the best interest of the sites to find a loophole to keep Americans playing so I think they'll find a way.

The bill was signed into law yesterday. Hard to say your the best at fighting terrorism (in an election year) and then not sign a port security bill. The Internet Gambling Prohibition Act or whatever it's called was a rider on this bill.

The only way to stop me from playing online will be to completely block my access to the sites. If they enact a law forbidding banks to send money to poker sites, then I'm (we're) fine. That's why there is Neteller. They are not an online gambling site and will not be subject to the horseshit of that law.

do you mean quit playing online?

either way i oted no. I don't believe the ISP block will ever happen, plus i've been hearing rumors about the US liscensing certain online casinos, in which case there'll be monopolys, but heck that's the american... err... i mean republican way...

but even if we can't play online anymore, i'll still play. i'm way too into it. i'll just play live, which is better anyway. i just hope CC doesn't ban online players , as i'd miss this site a heck of a lot more then i'd miss online poker.

Simple poll query. I've kept it anonymous so don't worry about the FBI knocking at your door. ^^
