stop arguing about what is bias in opinion polls online and such. its still bullshit that i cant play poker online if I damn feel like it. If u find any loopholes, hook it up, Im in CA.

The poker sites gets taxed on the income they are bringing in. You get taxed for any gambling winnings. They just need to find a way to tax at least one more time for them to legalize it. That's what it's all about. Money. You can't tell me the government isn't getting a percentage of the "illegal drugs" that gets sold.

bias is not even close to being limited to online polls. there are people whose job it is to ask unfair questions to get appropriate answers. (the answers the person paying them is looking for).
for instance:
"do you believe in taking U.S. money away from tax-paying americans in dire need of medical attention to give it to an illegal immigrant seeking medical attention"
is nowhere near the same question as:
"do you believe in giving help to a foreign immigrant who is severely injured"
yet they will skew the results to make it appear as if we are either for or against free emergency health-care for immigrants, depending on who is paying them to poll americans.

No problem DD. But if the gov't didn't prohibit it in the U.S., then all the gaming sites wouldn't have to be overseas, either. They could tax the ones on American soil. Good point DD, keep me on my toes.

LOL if you poll people in a casino of course your gonna get these stats, try the same pole in front of a church and check the results. I dont think US government should tell us how to spend our money.

Actually what my state does is really sneaky. They say the money is used for the kids in school. This makes you think that the millions they take in is given directly to education...WRONG! What they do instead is take that money from the lottery and put it into the education fund but take out the money from the taxes and use that otherwhere,i.e. pork projects. This is the great accounting program of NYS. There is no increase in the education fund just alot of hype.

I hope the government wakes up and realizes that if it was REGULATED instead of PROHIBITED, they could actually make money off of it. Maybe congress will actually get the message. In fact, I was at the casino just the other day when someone was coming around polling folks to see how they felt about legalized gambling online. You know you can't argue with statistics like that.

CNBC has released the results of a poll conducted last week that should send a VERY strong message to the U.S. Senate as it considers the online gambling Goodlatte bill.
The CNBC poll asked this question: Should all online gambling be legalized in the United States? (2,532 otes) showed a ery conclusive result:
Yes - 91 percent, No - 9 percent
The CNBC poll is the latest in a series of online gambling polls that have sent a strong ery message to legislators that the American public wants the online casino industry regulated instead of prohibited. The Wall Street Journal conducted a big poll earlier this year with similar results where 85% said they dont want a ban.
All the polls seem to indicate VERY strongly that America has no appetite for prohibition!
