I saw Sam Farha asking the other players if they wanted to split a big pot on High Stakes Poker. They declined, but Sam lost it anyway because he was playing rags as usual.

Huh? No, I have no idea what you're talking about. I was actually referring to T1riel's trivia answers that splitting pots prior to showdown is considered unethical in ALL poker circles. Maybe I'll start a separate post to open discussion on this.

Hmm - are we suggesting that I was unethical with Mischman and Dueces last night?
(We split the money evenly 3 ways because we were just tossing chips back and forth and wanted it over)

So, I'm curious. Where does this come from? If I'm reading this right, why is splitting the pot unethical? What about chopping the blinds? Why wouldn't that be unethical then?
