It's highly possible that if/when a change in US legislation takes place, Partypoker would re-enter the market. However, it may well be a few years at least before anything of this sort happens.

Of course, someone could also spectacularly buy out all of Partygaming's shares and take them private again, maybe allowing US players back.

Does anybody think that partypoker will return to the us market?

If so then when?

lol @ thread

Closed, don't beg because we all have better things to do than give $50 to random strangers to let them play poker, read the rules/FAQ, etc etc.

Not from Party Poker but if you aren't careful you will get banned from here.

Not trying to be ugly - but I can't imagine that they would condone begging for money in here.

No, I guess you haven't but you need to take a look at this because you could be from here.

• Begging for money on poker sites (or just begging for money in general) isn't allowed here. This includes, "I'll give you double the money back later" 'offers' and suchlike.

Good luck in your studies, but beggin for money just isn't cool man!

Party Poker does not allow US players.

You might want to try playing on play money tables until you finish your education, get a job and can afford to gamble with your own real money.

You can also enter free rolls and try to win real money to play with.

What you can not do is use this forum to solicit money to finance your gambling.

I started out at party poker and played there for awhile but then heard about Ultimate bet and have been playing there ever since. Party poker is ok to start out with but it is too slow for me.

OK Time to revise again it is the LIMIT ring games on Party which the suck outs always win. At the NL tables where I have more control over how many peeps are in the hand things are going much more true to form. I must admit to playing the limit tables to clear my bonus so those are the tables that apply to my previous post. The NL tables are quite fun to play

Don't make Party your first real money experience my mind has changed 180 degrees real poker is not played there. Luck outweighs skill there. For whatever reason their setup rewards bad play and I can't deal with that. When you consistantly get beat by weaker hands and inferior players you have to question what is going on. I deal well with the occassional lucky hand but I don't deal well when it happens over and over and over again, With regularity. I broke even cashed out and left 30 bucks to play with so maybe I can get "lucky" with that.

OK my mind has changed!!!! I can not believe the hands suck outs are consistantlly hitting against me. CONSISTANTLY! Top set getting cut by 4,5 off straight on the river when there was a max preflop bet!! It is trully unbelievable what is happening! I can tell I'm the best player at the table but it is home run after home run after miracle home run! it is constant! flop a king high flush yep you guessed it turn is a diamond guy had nothin but the ace and chased and hit. 3 days straight now! Whatever their Random number generator is doing it ****ing SUCKS... I see all this money I should be winning going to complete idiots! queens just lost to 9,5 off you guessed turn is the 3rd 5. I really wish I could blame it on bad play! couple hands maybe but JESUS! I just can't see how this can be happening so aften for so many sessions in a row. All those bad players with all that money and you can't win it even playing good poker!

i think the best place to learn with fake money is Pacific Poker, they have great Play Money Tournaments, and, for the most part, people play as if they were playing with real money

I would recommend learning on PokerStars. I don't play on PokerStars anymore, but the reason I'd recommend it is their play money Sit&Go's. At party poker all you can play is regular cash games with play money and there is no limit on the amount of play money chips you can rest, so people can just go all-in over and over if they want. At Pokerstars you can only refill chips 3 times an hour if you wanna play side games. Also, the sit&gos offer a more realistic ersion of poker, since people are trying harder to actually win the tourney. It makes people play closer to how they would with real money, but it's still not quite the same.

That's where I learned, and I played there until I almost always ended in the money. Now I play real money SNG's and do ery well. I'll most likely stick to SNG's when I play poker because it's how I learned, I'm best at it, and you can make a minimal loss if you lose and a great gain when winning. I'd recommend Ultimate Bet. I fell in love with their system ...

Hi all,
Regarding the first posts as to where to learn to play I wouldn't recommend just one site to learn at, every poker room has it's good and bad points and I think playing at two three or even four different poker rooms will give you a better learning experience all round, your better off playing at as many freerolls as you can because while your learning you also have the added extra bonus that when you do become good enough your going to get some money for your troubles, better than playing for fun and winning nothing.
I would recommend you trying the most popular poker rooms because this way if you do come in the money you know you'll get paid also.

Regarding the comments about party poker this site has been around a long time now, probably one of the first big poker rooms online, I don't know if it's still run by the same people but it used to be run by the same people that runs starluck and planetluck casinos which was also run by a place called casinopinions, this place let y...

I'm with ya PokerJoker I have played extensively online and just this week have given Party a shot and I like them, I see why they are the biggest. I must admit to taking a bad bet against a SUCK OUT calling station cost me 50 bucks when an idiot calls a 4x blind bet with 3,4 chases after the flop and pulls a straight out of his ASS after I hit my set on the flop. I take the good with the bad though, there is money to be made there for sure.

the guys must have been a calling station..thats why he followed u till the end and ended up lucky.....u gotta watch the table...mentally keep a track of who is a rock..who is a calling station...only then bet...it seems that you did not keep a track of the players who were playing at the table....

dont blame it on bad beats...u should see the bad beats that happen on the WPT....

I wouldn't start at party poker to actuallu lean the game too many people play soft hands, so you tend to get beat by weaker hands on the river sometimes, we'll at party poker that quite a bit.

good luck

party is great. Lots of fish. At the river you get to see what they were playing. Once you get to the point of knowing what you are doing, you will wonder why they were playing that hand with those cards.
