I know Prima puts in files that can be misconstrued as a irus. But if you have pop-ups, badbeats and such, it's most likely only coincidental. You probably got it from somewhere else. You can download free progs. to clean your system. Norton antivirus...I would also suggest.

Some poker sites could be embedded with a irus. Some take up a lot of your CPU, causing it to slow down your computer or freezing. it would really dpeend what poker sites you downloaded from. Try system restore and see if that does anything. If not, take ti to a computer repair service. I recommend sticking with the poker sites listed here to avoid future problems:http://www.cardschat.com/poker-bonuses.php

Assuming you had an ethernet port, and were connected either thru cable or DSL, try a new ethernet card. The ipx address is a hardwired function of the ethernet circuitry. It is that ipx address that is used to get your info to you, and from you to where you want it to go.

If you are using a laptop or a desktop and its built in ethernet port, disable it and buy a ethernet card that fits in the slot.

Then change your name and move to a different provider.

If I were you I would take the computer to a place that specializes in irus clean up and have them clean up your computer and install the best irus/firewall software available. Are you on a wirless connection....if not properly secured they are so easy to hack. If you are making a living playing poker, it would be a shame to have to give up the "work at home" part of your job.

Hey cardschatters.

I have played online poker for a living the last couple of years with a good incom and no problems at all. However, the last 3-4 months it seems i get "attacked" by iruses/worms/trojans/spy/malware (whatever it is called), which have meant that i suddenly dont seem to be able to beat any game at all.
The strange thing about this, is that the attacks seems to start in tournaments when we get down to the money. Or at the moment i sit down at a cash game.
The fact that i have been loosing heavy the last couple of months could easily be arians/bad beat streaks, however, it has become really extreme and it seems like it always happens when i get these attacks. I can see my firewall and anti irus software popping up telling me that it have stopped some sort of attack, and it keeps doing that for 4-5 minutes, then it stops, and then i get badbeatet/sucked out (by extreme calls). The bad beats/suck outs is obviosly a part of poker that i have experrienced before, b...
