Yeah, havn't seen that one before but it looks good and get good reviews. But, personally, I don't really trust security programs that is not open source.

I can recommend this, http://keepass.info/, software to keep track of your passwords.
All passwords are kept in an encrypted database. When you need to type it your just double-click and paste. The passwords are kept in the clipps for 10 seconds before being erased. Problem with copy pasting from a document is that it is not encrypted and the passwrod stays in the clip organizer until you shut down your computer.

If now only Cryptologic would make copy pasting passwords work I would be all happy.

About the ADSL thingy. As all transactions to and from NETeller is encrypted, should be at least, I don't think they got the password that way. There are several ways of getting them without having to use keyloggers and listening on the ADSL and decrypt tcp/ip-transactions must be one of the hardest.

Update:

I recieved my money back from neteller on June 21.

There was huge hold ups because poker.com refused to send all the money to neteller. Eventually they sent two bank wires to neteller to reimburse me. Horrible CS at poker.com i only ever recieved 1 reply to my approx 10 emails.

Glad its all over.

Actually, I think the most common way a neteller/poker site account gets hacked in to is simply finding out the answer to the security question of an email account. You gotta be very careful when you set the "security question" to your email address. A lot of people have very simple and easy to guess answers to their security questions. Some questions have the kinda answer that can be found out with google if you know the persons name. It's not impossible to find out someones mother's maiden name or stuff like that. After getting access to your email, it's easy to find out all the login/password info to your neteller account poker sites.

There was a guy in a Finnish poker forum who had been caught doing just this. This guy was what they call a joyrider. He was addicted t...

Neteller CS has been great throughout this whole process and acted quickly on all fronts.

I cant say the same for poker.com(carbon) who have been pathetic in passing the buck on to neteller and basically stating that they harbour fraudsters!

I am an Aussie so i cant play at carbon but i will we warning everyone i know outside of Australia that they can't be trusted.

Is there an online casino that a lot of Aussies have used neteller on?
The villian just needs your acc# and security code to do a transfer.
And a site you previously played on would have that info.

If they are able to hack into your neteller account then they are able to obtain your personal information from that, even if they weren't able to obtain your personal information from that there are various other sources that would allow them to access that information.

If you already have an account with Poker.com, a duplicate account should be (in theory) invalid, as I'm pretty sure Poker.com does not allow multiple accounts (as do all Poker sites).
Changing a few digits doesnt really make a difference. You will still have the same name, street name, postcode etc.
If the account the funds went to is invalid, then the deposit should be invalid as well.

It might not work like that though, and it might not even matter because the funds may have easily gone to an account in somebody elses name.

Either way, if they tell you they are unable to compensate the funds, keep bugging them. It seems like you've got stronger grounds than me and I managed to get my cash back.

They did only owe you $300 though and it still took you 1-2months of emails. I am gunna need my money in about a month so i really h...

That is what i took out of this statement:

But your guess is as good as mine.

Guess what.... I'm from from Australia too! There's obviously some scumbag doing some sort of scam here.

You can look up the Ip address on www.whatismyipaddress.com (there is a page called ip lookup on there somewhere). My fraudster was in Brisbane.

You'll be fine if the Poker.com account it went to wasnt in your name. If you already have an accoutn there prior to the fraud happening then you should get your money back easy.
In my case the guy set up an account with my name and personal details. Which Neteller claimed made me liable for the transaction. Although I did eventually get the money back.

The whole thing is very unnerving, I'm still bewildered as to how the they managed to get all of my personal details. I don't trust Neteller with my money anymore and would stick to keeping it in trusted Poker accounts.

Just got this reply from poker.com CS after 4emails:

"Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting us.

Our fraud department is looking into the matter at the moment, and we will get back to you with an update the moment we receive more information.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,

CS Donovan Customer Service Representative"

At least they are looking into it but i dont know if it has happened quick enough to stop the money being withdrawn.

Thanks Gonzo!

Wow this is very similar! and he is from Australia too. Happened they day after mine. This has got to be the same person doing this.

On the plus side if it has happened to a number of people it should be more likely that neteller should repay me as it appears that it isn't my issue as others have had the same happen to them.

Thanks for the heads up.

Try contacting them via carbon poker?

If that doesn't work send them and email about how to deposit, then when they reply, send them back an email saying someone falsely deposited.

This just happened to me, although on a much smaller scale.

$300 was stolen from my neteller (which was all I had in there) and transferred to a online casino.

They took about a week to investigate, and told me I would not be compensated as the account it was transferred to was in my name with matching personal details. This meant I was 'liable' for the transaction.

Obviously I argued and argued. The fact that the online casino was dodgy as f*ck and wouldnt respond to any emails or pick their phone up wasn't too pleasing. I demanded Neteller give me access to the account, and that I would report them to their governing body. They eventually gave me the money back, this is after around 1-2 months of email hassling.

Sorry if this doesn't sound promising, I recon you should get it back. Hopefully Poker-dot-com will be more cooperative.

I also don't think it is caused by kelogger programs. I am pretty tech savy and now all the processes running on my machine....
