| Posted by: andrew26 at May 28, 2007, 4:43 am | | Topic: Pokerstars RELOAD up to $150 Forum: Bonus Whores | I cleared the bonus about 10 days ago, and am still playing at PS, bonus and rakeback free, which is unheard of for me.
I am loving the games there, love the software, and feel that my money is as safe at PS as it would be anywhere online, including epassporte.
I am finally up to 6-tables, and the "tile tables" feature makes it easy to play on my laptop's 17-inch screen. I made platinum star and am working my way towards the $285 bonus for 25K FPPs. I should get there in the next couple of days.
All of this play is at FR .5.1 NL BTW. The games at that level seem to fit my playing style (15% VP$IP / 7.5% PFR, 1.5 AF.)
I never thought I would play bonus and rakeback free, but for the time being that is where I find myself. At least poker stars is a good place for me to do it.

I managed a little better than some, I guess. Between 3-outers (AK to AT with AAxTx board 3 times) and my own Donkish play, I was faaaar from break even, but I did clear a good chunk of it. Trying to apply some of what I read in SSHE during this period was probably also a big mistake.
FWIW, I did experiment with the other two decks, and I didn't find any improvement over the "standard", but I know some people swear by 4-colour decks.

Thanks anyway. Now to go see how I screwed it up so much

I managed to get Goldstar on Saturday night.... at my level NL50 it takes alot of pounding.. 5-6 tables...
But the fpp`s racks up pretty good with the 2x promo on top of that... if i could handle NL200 with 6 tables... now the vpp`s and fpp`s would really be rolling in.... | | Static Link |

playing 0.5/1 limit the pot needs to reach to 8BB's to count, but playing 1/2 limit the pot needs to reach only 5BB's to count. So you just need to find a 0.5/1 table with an avg pot of $8 or a 1/2 with and avg pot of $10 to roll in the fpps. I am guessing your tables have been tight. | | Static Link |

But this is all related on how loose the table is...
NL100 would clear even better... i`ve cleared the bonus playing NL50 and few sessions of NL100 and made like $380(ya some loose nuts out there, god love them when they miss, god love them when they hit and are still 2nd best) playing so far +150 bonus....

IIRC u need to be ITM about 40%, but u can do ur own math. also ive asked stars b4 if u could just buy the sunday millions tickets, then sell them, they said no.

250 Futurshop gift card goes for 15k fpp.... and 13.5k fpp for a $215 Sunday million ticket.... seems close to same value????
Buying the $285 bonus costs 25K +2K playthru to 27 in total.
2 sunday millions = 27K.
So the sunday million is 430 value while the bonus is only 285. That is almost 150 difference.
Everything but the bonuses appear to be similar in value.
I was saying the giftcard is better value than buying a bonus with it. | | Static Link |

I cleared the bonus quick, and in the process made Silver star, so I'm now getting 3 FPP instead of the usual 1.5 at silver star.
That's good till May 22
I'm close to gold star which gives 4 FPP per qualifying hand untill May 22
That's about 6.5c per qualifying raked hand.
Not too bad.
