you are correct I started RV thinking it was the same as Trident. I have stopped playing it after I saw it was 25x but I have left the money in because you get entry to a $ 15,000 tourney the month after your 1st deposit.
Does anyone know if this touney is for real and is it for $ or tickets to other events. this is the case with there weekly welcome tourney its $2500 but all are paid in entry tickets. | | Static Link |

Thanks for the post-- this was likely my mistake (the chart had the old 10x raked hand rates). I instructed the new guys to change the chart and you should see the new hourly rates. FWIW, it clears at the same rate as Poker Time. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: Mitch at January 17, 2007, 1:46 am | | Topic: Royal Vegas Forum: Bonus Whores | Can someone please explain to me how Royal vegas and trident poker (10x) have the same clearence rates???
It appears to me that RV is a 25x bonus. Am i correct?
I have cleared Trident but RV seems to be taking forever in comparision.
Thanks,

I loved Royal Vegas. 100% up to $100 at 10x non-contributed is great, and easy to clear, even where I play (.50-1 FR limit). Also, you get 1000 free points, which is worth a free $10 buy-in to a tournament. They also give free entry to a 15,000 freeroll. I got like 45 out of 400 or so players, so that was another $75 from the site. Lastly, they gave me another $25 for some kind of poker points challenge that I didn't even know existed! $200 profit not even including winnings at the cash games is huge for a .50-1 player. I highly recommend this site.

Quote: It gives us great pleasure to inform you that your Royal Vegas Poker Room Account ( ) has been credited with 20 Poker credits, as part of the following promotion: RV Poker- Sign-up offer Rake-back Points.
So this bonus brings my total bonus money to $70 at RV.
I guess I am getting rakeback points and I remember reading something about this in the T&C when I signed up but now I can't find it. I think it was something like $20 for my first 1000 hands and then $20 for every 500 raked hands after that.
If anyone has a link to the T&C I would appreciate it. | | Static Link |

So, anyway, if you're not getting more bucks from an affiliate or something, then it's barely worth the bother. May as well play on Bodog or Absolute.

Bonuswhores is a site whose lurkers include hunters, chasers and whores. When someone writes nebulously negatively about a poker site as the "worst" or as "really bad" or something like that they usually mean the bonus the site offers. There are quite literally dozens of sites who will give you more money faster for playing than Royal Vegas.
Forget about Royal Vegas Poker--it just might be the best thing you've ever done for yourself.

| Posted by: Ben_Knifed at July 11, 2005, 5:50 am | | Topic: Royal Vegas Forum: Bonus Whores | The Party network has approx. 10 times the traffic as Prima and PartyPoker has a bonus structure of tremendously more value than Royal Vegas, in particular. While I said Prima is comparable in softness to Party, I did not say this quality was exact. I think most bonus whores, and poker players in general, would say the Party has the most easily beatable games going, Pacific Poker notwithstanding.
The games at Pacific are, to me, quite unique--sort of like a sticky casino bonus, high risk/high reward.

As far as quality of games, RV is part of the Prima network, generally thought of as pretty soft and comparable to Party.
As far as overlays, BonusWhores has a review of the site that I'm sure would answer you better than I could.

| Posted by: Ben_Knifed at July 11, 2005, 2:03 am | | Topic: Royal Vegas Forum: Bonus Whores | Royal Vegas is as passe as the charcoal grill. One might compare the work required to clear the RV bonus to the labor necessary to compose and ignite the charcoal grill. One might also compare the unique taste given by smoldering mesquite to the tasty games on the Prima network. In the end, the labor is not worth the product. In one case it is the charred meat, in the other the $50 in total bonus from RV.
If you are going to do RV, do it only for the $10 they give you. You'll need to play 100 raked hands. Do not request the sign up bonus of $40 as it will take 1400 raked hands before you can withdraw it.

back in my earlier poker days I signed up here and wandered into the 5-card stud section one night.. well I had a great run, it's a very uncomplicated game, and I ended up making about $400 in two nights at 2/4
well I lost all of that money and about $300 more over the next week in a long, painful process of learning that 5-card stud isn't as easy as I first thought.. and I've never played that game, or at that site since..
this was back when losing $300 deeply bothered me, mind you.. in fact it crippled my bankroll and poker psche for a number of months. Even now that I'm a successful bonus whore, I don't think I could bare to play that game or that site ever again
I seriously had nightmares about some of the suckouts I took during that downspin

I think the place that actually mailed me the code again wihtout much hassle was 32red.

I can never seem to register for their $1000 freerolls. They require 50 raked hands and even after playing for 3 hours they still keep me out.
Even worse, the message they give in kicking you out is "There was an error registering you for the tournament." What is that supposed to mean? Give me a CLUE at least?

I opened up an account there a few weeks ago, deposited $100, terms said I'd get my $50 bonus within 24 hours. 24 hours later, no bonus. So, I go to livechat and ask where my bonus is. They say it will be there in a couple hours. A couple hours later, no bonus. So the next day I ask again and again they say it will be there soon. This time the $10 bonus appears but not the $40. After a few days and another live chat session, all my bonus is in my account.
Now I don't play for like a week because I'm busy. All of a sudden, the $10 bonus dissapeared out of my account. I asked them about it, and they said it was because I hadn't played a raked hand. Well, the terms on the website said I had to play a raked hand OR make a purchase (which I did) to prevent it from being removed. After bitching about it, they put the $10 back.
Now I play on two tables at once for like 4 hours. I do pretty well, but that's besides the point. I play in we... | | Read Entire Entry |
