i say get used to bots even though it sucks!!"pokersmoke" claims alot of things i wrote in another post about it its a reality and i dont advocate it i dont think i played against it much most sng's i played have been real people although ther has been on occ a couple , u can still chat if u have this software, its alot like using the calculator just does all the folding and mechanics for you it claims to quote.. I'm talking about a 24/7 money machine. A software program that never tires, never makes mistakes, and is completely devoid of human emotion. It's everything you, and every other player, are NOT..The software is called "PokerSmoke". It's a hands-free, robotic poker player that's been deviously programmed to play a level of professional poker that you, yourself, could only dream of. It makes all of the right moves, always at the right time, to suck up consistent profits from the weakest and strongest players alike. In short, it's unstoppable

Now I'm really curious: how on earth do you 12-table?
I play at hollywoodpoker (which is the pokerroom network), and you have like ~30 seconds to act before your hand is folded.
I sometimes play four tables at once but whenever I'm in a hand at two tables and the pots are big I often have to make tough decisions faster than I'd like.
So seriously, how can you play twelve tables? I mean, even pressing the fold button on a dozen tables takes time, so how do you have time to actually play?

These are for sale all the time but are a scam. If you created one, you'd be playing in all the games with multiple computers. Plus you'd be winning millions. I don't believe this.
One other thing, what stakes were you playing for?

Very interesting article, Stormswa. Bots are a huge threat to online poker, probably the biggest, for many reasons. Although patterns can be spotted by site owners, administraters etc., there is always the concern of programs more and more sofisticated that make them hard to notice, plus they can be programmed to occasionally "mix it up" which can make the process of identifying them even harder.
Also, poker sites really have to have the will to hunt them down. There could, potentially, be a conflict of interest there. Bots have the ability to play longer hours and generate huge amounts of ra... | | Read Entire Entry |

Bots just keep the playing field even for a longer period of time for the bad players. These bot users wouldn't have a chance playing live. Playing more then two tables at once is foolish, and playing more then that, is usually an idiot with money to burn. Some of these people that won big tournaments, ia online satellites, just had there lucky day happen at the right time. If there playing 8 games at once online, they're just confirming how lucky they were in the first place.

Well, just because someone's running a bot program doesn't mean that a human can't be observing and chatting if/when necessary.
I think the pressing question is why on earth, if this guy was running a bot, would he say he was running a bot?

Excellent point. I have also noticed this. A player who is on more than two or three tables at one time is usually easy to read.

He said he was using a bot for the simple reason that it would make you feel uneasy about playing at the table and you would make mistakes, but the mistake he has made by playing so many tables is the fact that, for the most part, will only play premium hands, which gives you the advantage, you can't lose money to this player and if you do call one of his raises, it will have to be when your holding a premium hand, otherwise stay away from this player but keep a close eye on these types who like to multi-table because they are ery predictable because most will have a set betting pattern to coincide with what they hold.

Actually there are bots that have software that can speak to you, but the responses are aried and would not be as complex as what the OP said it stated. Majority of bot makers are borrowing software from chat room bots which are ery advanced and will talk and have a conversation with someone. One more thing to this matter i also wanted to ask if anyone noticed the abundance of names on Bodog that have a name followed by wins, example corywins, kristenwins, etc..etc.. as I noticed they do not talk back and seen a few on multiple tables I was playing. Has anyone on that site noticed that as well or am i just seeing more than there is?

I have seen both Chris and Liam on 8 or more tables at once. They might not be normal but they are not bots lol.

with the right setup and with practice, 12-tabling is entirely possible. heck, there's a id out there of some guy ~24-tabling.
